Debbie had a crappy start in life with awful parents for sure but I also think that excuse can only be used for so long. As Cain said to Moira, when he almost hit Kyle the thought of turning into Shadrach was enough to scare the shit out of him and he never raised his hand again. Meanwhile Debbie has subjected those kids to countless terrible ‘step-fathers’, learning nothing along the way. She has dragged them from pillar to post, random countries (France) all while her sick daughter just needs stability. They are now homeless again. If Emmerdale was realistic both children would have been removed from her care or at the very least she would have a social worker assigned. I know, I know - it’s just a soap

Also (am on a rolling rant here) I hate the way Moira’s violence has been minimalised and she is completely unrepentant! No-one seems to care. Even Faith, a victim of domestic abuse, seemed to accept her son was left battered and bruised with a shrug and an offer to run Moira a hot bath. Totally gives the impression that ‘some’ kind of violence is ok.

Graham said to Joseph "we rescued each other". So the thought by some posters upthread that Graham is indeed the man who killed Joseph's mother looks to be right.

Harriet with her ripped jeans and then in bed at the B&B -wrong! What does she want?? Cain to stop supporting Moira? and why is Cain lying to her about loving her (to keep her on side)? Does she ever do any work?.

eastie I totally agree. I’m really disgusted by how they’ve gone with the assault story. It’s as if theyre all saying “ah well, it’s just Cain, he probably deserved it”. it was horrific to watch. I think too much for before the watershed.

It might be the same Graham - explanation will be he parachuted out of the falling car or something equally unbelievable - but why would Joseph take up with his mother’s killer. Isn’t there anyone from that time who would remember Graham (Robert maybe although suppose he was a young child)

Either way, he seems to have a conscience and was clearly troubled by Debbie’s humiliating downfall so I suppose Joesph will almost destroy the Dingles and Graham will step in at the last minute and save the day.

I don't understand if Chrissie is so so concerned about her unstable son why doesn't she just stay in the village? If she can afford to buy a flat for him I am sure she can afford a place of her own.

I think Laurel is going to be Bob & Brenda’s downfall, she now seems to be struggling to accept they had a one night stand & is seeing him in a different light, you can just tell that poor Brenda is going to to find out the truth.

I’m trying to remember when I applied for my DCs passports. Myself and exp don’t speak and I don’t remember seeing/asking him to sign anything. It was a few years ago but I don’t recall having that conversation! Perhaps it went so well I didn’t need to store it to memory.

I hate who Moira has become. And I agree, that scene was particularly harrowing.And her being completely unrepentant is awful. Cain has tried and tried to be there for her, tell her he loves her, support her and all she does is throw it back in his face. She's become quite a nasty, mean hearted woman

QueenDaisy I think Brenda will find out too. Laurel looks like she's started to feel something for Bob. I really can't bear how people in soaps seem to fall in love all of a sudden with people they've been around for years and never looked at in that way. They all fall out of love just as quickly.

Laurel is really annoying me. How can she think it’s ok to announce her love for her friend/friend’s husband after being the cause of their separation and causing so much pain and literally a couple of weeks after it all happened. Has she no sense of responsibility for what that would do to brenda and the children? That would destroy brenda.

And did Laurel really think that two minutes after breaking with Brenda, their kids fighting (and not forgetting Ashley dying) that Bob was stood there for her with those balloons?
