I loved Tom/Joseph humiliating the dreaded Debbie and calling her out for the hooker she is. The two Thursday episodes were very entertaining indeed!

christmaspudding1 · 06/01/2018 15:23

agree with south x100

You think TomJo would have paid for Debbie to go to a proper hairdresser when he was with herGrin her hair is bloody awful, terrible style, terrible colour and terrible condition

bonfireheart · 06/01/2018 19:59

Have you seen TomJo's own ridiculous hair?!

Charity is a total pig after her disgusting behaviour about the house, telling them to wait 5 minutes before going in, revolting, everyone in the series is a crook, con artist and thick, especially Charity and Debbie. I used to think UK soaps were the best in the world, but not anymore.

bonfireheart · 07/01/2018 01:50

Sarah looked proper distraught and instead of comforting her, Debbie was sat there wailing about how much she loved Tom and Charity was screaming about a Bentley. Even Charity's chat with Noah was handled badly.
After seeing Jacob smashing those plates I think the next generation of Emmerdale youngsters are going to grow up even more messed up than Lachlan.

bonfireheart · 07/01/2018 02:42

Also the whole using his house as toilet didn't really affect Tom, it's not he's going inside himself to clean it, he's rich enough to get the house sorted. So she just made herself look even more stupid than usual.

deloresclaiborne · 08/01/2018 07:42

moira attacks cain so badly he ends with bruise all over his face, but its ok as its a woman beating a man
yep its fine just fine

IAmANoTail · 08/01/2018 10:02

Its really going downhill, Moira beating Cain up, Charity shitting in a house, how classy! Hmm

Grunkalunka · 08/01/2018 11:55

I don't like the Moira domestic abuse either - hope this won't be an ongoing story. Someone upthread mentioned how everyone is a criminal, involved in something dodgy, a cheat etc and they are right. They all seem pretty vile. Amos Brearley and Henry Wilks would be turning in their graves.

I also felt very angry that when Cain got Moira to confess to killing Emma that he said something along the lines of - you are as hard as nails, I knew you couldn't just have depression. I thought it really undermined the PND storyline and implied that only weaklings get PND. Any one of the things that Moira had been through - or even nothing at all could have brought on PND - that would have been a good enough story to go with - her counselling, Cain supporting her etc without all this Emma/Jason drama.

JaneJeffer · 08/01/2018 12:16

I'm loving it at the moment. I don't want it to be all about "issues". That's what real life is for Grin bring on the drama I say!

bonfireheart · 08/01/2018 19:54

TomJo really needs to sort out the security of his office!

bonfireheart · 08/01/2018 19:56

Wonder who's bought Home Farm or is it too obvious?!

bonfireheart · 08/01/2018 20:07

Hahaha just watched today's episode.
To think with all that money you could live anywhere in the world and you'd choose to live in a little, cold village where everyone hates you and you hate them.

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 08/01/2018 20:10

What on earth have they done to Sarah’s Eyebrows?? They’re awful.

Frillyhorseyknickers · 08/01/2018 20:30

bonfireheart I thought the same - it’s Home Farm not Downton, surrounded by Dingles and ridiculous storylines.

LoveMySituation · 08/01/2018 20:46

But bonfire, it's about faamillly Grin

Eastie77 · 08/01/2018 21:26

Just caught up. Don’t understand why anyone felt sorry for Debbie. She is such a horrible person and my god, the number of criminal/psychotic/murderous men she has brought into her children’s lives coupled with the times she has been arrested...surely Social Services should be involved!

Mr Nice Guy doesn’t suit Robert at allGrin
It was sad when he removed his ring and Aaron smiled at him though. I wonder if Aaron worked out he helped the drippy boyfriend.

Cain and the Vicar...I just can’t watch it. She knows he still loves Moira but continues to hang on like an awful leech. Have some pride Harriet!

bonfireheart · 08/01/2018 21:54

Aaron did ask Paddy if Robert had tipped Alex off about the festival so seems like he's worked it out.
Robert is going to be heartbroken when/if Sen goes to Australia.

No Harriet today which was nice but instead we had awful Charity.

I've realised after seeing Priya and her dad in the pub how some of the actors on Emmerdale have a cushy job! Get dressed up, pretend to drink in a fake pub, go home, get paid. Bernice and Nicola are two others who don't have to do much (thankfully!)

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 08/01/2018 22:34

Well yes, that. But look at the life she had before she was an adult. Abandoned by her mother as a baby, adopted by an alcoholic mother, no idea who her father was, put into care when adoptive mother died, fostered out, finds real mother and it’s charity dingle! terrible example of a mother set for her, became pregnant at 15? Dealing with an extremely sick child when she was barely out of her teens herself. All the while her mother and father are setting absolutely appalling examples of how a relationship is supposed to be. You can’t know all that and not have a little understanding of how she turned out as she has.

southeastdweller · 08/01/2018 22:41

But she's an adult now and has been for a while. Whoring herself and not learning from her parents mistakes thus setting shit examples to her own kids gains no sympathy from me

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 08/01/2018 23:58

Wow. Whoring herself? Nice.

JaneJeffer · 09/01/2018 00:59

Debbie didn't set out to get anything from Joseph. She tried to turn things down but he was very insistent even giving Sarah the phone without consulting her, buying the house, etc. I think she fell for him after he was so kind when Sarah was in hospital and I think Graham is right that he loves her too. I agree she's had a tough life and I like her despite her grumpy ways Grin She tries to do the right thing and doesn't follow her parents' example but she should have known there's no such thing as a free lunch!!

I wonder what's going to happen to the pub now that Charity can't pay back the money.

I loved Aaron's "You what?" when he went into the cafe and Bob said it was closed Grin
