Fizz first please. And everyone related to her.

Actually he's going to have get Andy to start digging out an extension to fit them all in.

Grin Wink

LoveMySituation · 22/11/2017 20:59

What coping strategies was Sinead talking about?

Clawdy · 22/11/2017 21:14

That Gemma - posh boy story was ludicrous. Nearly as bad as the Colin - Moira scene in the pub. Awful.

eddiemairswife · 22/11/2017 22:04

Two terrible dull episodes.

Akire · 22/11/2017 22:16

Did we miss an episode? What is Gemma doing? How likely is it see consultant get scan and results and offer of op in few hours!! Not in any nhs I know.

Will Noris2 and Moira go off into the sunset? Let’s hope.

ginghamstarfish · 22/11/2017 23:10

Weatherfield's medical services are amazing, GP appointments the same day, even on Sundays, immediate consultant visits and same day operations! Plus you are guaranteed to have a miraculous full recovery from most things, a la Sinead, Anna, Hope etc.

Wormulonian · 23/11/2017 09:54

Dire! The Colin/Moira storyline and Morris's blood is just awful. Gemma and her overacting and permanently open gob - terrible. None of it is funny, compassionate or endearing or even interesting!

ginghamstarfish I thought that about the NHS services too. No way would he be seen by a consultant from another department. He would have been told to go through the GP and an operation a few hours later! Ha, ha. Yet despite his 5 star treatment off he went home and out for a bike ride.

A few nights ago Joseph was nearly run over but was totally unharmed as Robert pushed him out of the way. However, he is taken to the health centre and looked over immediately. Robert didn't seem to be in the usual private room everyone gets at the hospital.

Corrie you have really lost your way!

eddiemairswife · 23/11/2017 10:39

Surely the Mayor's inauguration party would be held at the Town Hall in the Mayor's Parlour with the councillors present, not in Sally's front room with the neighbours.

ellenanora5 · 23/11/2017 11:08

I think Moira and Colin have the potential to be a very funny couple, but only if they sack all the writers and get some new ones who can bring the comedy back to corrie.

I was disgusted with Robert walking out of hospital like that, after being fast tracked from zero to operation in a couple of hours he basically gave the consultant the two fingers, dickhead.

Housewife2010 · 23/11/2017 11:24

Re hair, I think Jenny's hair colour is looking fab. It's a huge change from her mullet in the 80s episodes.

TheBeastOfRoystonVasey · 23/11/2017 12:25

Oh yes, I was just looking laughing at her mullet in the classic Corrie the other day Grin

I think Aliya has the best hair on the street, she is a beautiful girl but her hair is so shiny!

Bumblina · 23/11/2017 15:10

did i miss something with Gemma, who invited her to that party?!
I like her relationship with Rita but not keen on this at all.
Actually, all the storylines are utter tosh at the moment.
Can't stand Robert. He doesn't fit in at all. That bleached hair - WTF.
They need more Tracey, Beth, Peter, Steve and Liz
Id like to see Peter back with Leanne and Toyah gone.
Moira was looking to be a brilliant character but its all gone to put now with the OTT Vic Reeves stuff.
Ive started to dread each episode now, classic corrie is far better.

lizzieoak · 23/11/2017 15:21

It’s reallt odd how they’re under-using the food actors like Peter and Leanne. I don’t want to see Peter drinking again, but surely he could do something besides trying to cheer up Toyah!

eddiemairswife · 23/11/2017 15:56

Just watched Kevin and Sally's wedding on Classic Corrie. Not too keen on her very shiny pale pink satin wedding outfit.

One scene brought home how very realistic it was then compared to now; Deirdre and Ken in the Rovers, Deidre tells Ken to stay and finish his drink while she goes home to relieve the babysitter. Modern Corrie has no need of such old-fashioned notions as babysitters!

Wormulonian · 23/11/2017 16:41

Yes where is Leanne. where does she live? Is she back with Eva or still sleeping on Steve's couch? The whole baby story has just been dropped.

They made a huge fanfare about Peter coming back (and Toyah) and he has hardly been on screen - is the pub making money? Is Peter tempted by the drink? What about some banter with the customers? Do they never see their surrogate? Weird.

lizzieoak · 23/11/2017 16:58

If Chris Gascoigne is not bored rigid, he’s onto a good thing. Barely any lines to memorize, just stand around, look handsome and beam at a woman he has zero chemistry with.

And yes, Steve and Leanne’s baby? Where is it? It’s like the writers are watching a different program than the rest of us?

thenightsky · 23/11/2017 18:33

How did Gemma get invited to that posh party? She didn't seem to know anyone there, so was she gatecrashing?

MrsSteveMcDonald · 23/11/2017 18:34

She saw an open invitation on facebook or similar

Falconhoof1 · 23/11/2017 20:43

Oh no it's on tonight as well! I can't commit to this much Corrie. I'm out.

Bluelonerose · 23/11/2017 21:19

I must of missed an episode where are Norris and Moria going?

eddiemairswife · 23/11/2017 22:50

Again I feel I have missed something. A couple of episodes ago there was a booking at the Bistro for Denise Osbourne, which for some reason I thought was connected to Chesney. Now Chesney is working at the Bistro; is something going on?

Surely a vicar would return a donation in private.

JeanSeberg · 24/11/2017 03:57

We've been led to believe that Tracy made the booking in Denise's name, that's why there was no phone number given. She then told Chesney to take Sinead to the bistro and "sit back and watch the fireworks" as she knew it would mess with Daniel's head.

Wormulonian · 24/11/2017 09:14

Thanks for explaining the Daniel/Denise booking - I "multi task" these days whilst watching and missed the bit about Tracy. Does Peter still work at Streetcars then - when does he fit that in? Pubs are open all hours these days.

Ridiculous, Billy making that scene in the Bistro. What on earth was the point of bringing Moira and Colin in to the show??? pointless.

BatteredBreadedOrSouthernFried · 24/11/2017 10:07

Does eileen still work at the cab office?

eddiemairswife · 24/11/2017 14:07

As well as regular updates as to who is living where it would be handy to know who works where.
I was thinking about the former factory workers.....Sinead at Freshco ... Sean at the medical centre.... Sally being Mayor..... Izzy, Beth, Fizz making headscarves?? (don't know why Fizz hasn't opened a massage parlour.)..... Johnny and Jenny off to Spain?..... Aidan and Aliya nothing since van was burnt out.
