Do you think Milan has sussed there was something between Georgie and Elvis or not?

OP posts:
Ilovelblue · 22/10/2017 21:56

This is just like Molly and Bashira, don't you think?

OP posts:
Ilovelblue · 22/10/2017 21:56

Does Elvis ALWAYS wear those sunglasses?

OP posts:
Ilovelblue · 22/10/2017 21:58

And just 47 hours to go until we find out what happens out in Afghan.

How was that for you Rhu?

OP posts:
Rhubarb01 · 22/10/2017 21:58

Wonder if Elvis is suspcious . He never misses a chance to say something to her does he. Must be a bit irritating but he can't help it.

Nice bit of a teaser for episode 3 - I have high hopes. Wonder who CJ is angry with. Do you think it's Captain Azizi or Elvis or someone else in the platoon?

Rhubarb01 · 22/10/2017 22:00

I enjoyed that - quite a lot going on isn't there.

I hadn't thought of Milan suspecting anything between Georgie and Elvis but it's possible.

Ilovelblue · 22/10/2017 22:00

I found that watchalong quite hard, not sure what you thought Rhu? I think it's because some of the scenes were padded out too much.

OP posts:
Ilovelblue · 22/10/2017 22:01

Off to watch The Last Post now.

OP posts:
Rhubarb01 · 22/10/2017 22:05

Ditto - will be catching up with The Last Post now. Don't care what the RT editor says - I think it's good.

wibblywobblyfish · 22/10/2017 22:33

Watching the clip of next weeks show

  • maybe GL has said too much to creepy Milan and he's a snitch in cahoots with Da Chand? Hence Elvis' comment about it all going Pete Tong?

I'd be really happy with an episode full of Elvis and his hot haircut next weeks. I've got a feeling he will be killed off. Looking at group pics on twitter of the filming he doesn't seem to feature in any.

Rhubarb01 · 23/10/2017 18:35

Evening all! Having had a not too pleasant day at work I let my mind wander off in the dullest moments to consider your theory wibbly and I'm wondering too if Milan is not so good and wholesome as he seems. After all, the children only went missing/ran off when Milan tempted Georgie outside for a bit of an impromptu snog in the rain. By going along with them on the rescue mission he got to find out what was going on plus he may have got wind of the SF trip to Afghanistan and his uncle is in the Police force and he knows about Da Chand being released doesn't he? Also, could CJ be shouting at Georgie when he says "I trusted you!"? She may have let something slip? If you combine that with the moment she dashes across no mans land, possibly trying to rectify her mistake after CJ has lost it big time and blamed her and with him yelling at her to come back, who knows?

Obviously, all this is about to be proved hopelessly wrong tomorrow - I just hope there isn't another convenient 'impressive network of tunnels' as per series 2. You know me a love a bit of plot speculation.

As for Elvis ending up in that body bag - please noooo! Sad I hope he makes it to the end of episode 12 alive but it struck me that possibly neither LP, MK or BA may want to do a fourth series and possibly the Maisie character is stepping into the role of the next 'Our Girl' if there is another series. Hopefully, by then we will all love her to bits - she has the potential to be likeable if she could just curb her mouth.

Flowerfan · 23/10/2017 21:40

Hi ilove and Rhu
Sorry I missed last night. I’ve just read through your comments and don’t think I could have kept up anyway!
I am really not sure what to think about CJ and tomorrow but hopefully all will be well with our two special guys.
Unfortunately Rhu ‘ I think I make you right’ about our favourite characters may not want to do another series and without CJ I’m not sure whether I care. For me he is definitely the attraction preferably with Molly involved in some way, but all good things do have to end and perhaps he will get other parts
Still lots to look forward to so on a more cheerful not HERE’S TO TOMORROW NIGHT🤗😝😛

Ilovelblue · 23/10/2017 22:44

Evening everyone

Regarding our stars maybe not wanting to do a fourth series, I read somewhere that MK was under contract to do this series but hadn't imagined it to be more than a similar five episodes as in series two. I think the article said she had been filming for the best part of seven months so yes, it wouldn't surprise me if she didn't want to do another series, especially with Mark Wright being out in the US now. LP - never seems to be short of work and as for BA, well, your guess is as good as mine.

I do hope you're wrong Wibbly about Elvis (complete with hot haircut) being killed off. He does seem to have a lot of fans (I don't just mean as Elvis, but as LP) so whether TG would kill him off, I have no idea.

Flower I found last night's watchalong hard work as there were a number of scenes where I didn't think there was much to comment on but what did make me laugh was that Rhu and I were almost in perfect unison, especially when it came to Milan and to Elvis! Our timing was almost spot on - I think she was about 20 seconds ahead of me.

Well, less than 24 hours to wait and to put our theories to the test.

Quick question: in the first episode, the SF seemed to comprise Elvis, Spanner, Peanut (with the big helmet!) and I think one other. In the second episode, we only saw Elvis and Spanner. Any idea where the others are? Could they already be out in Afghan or is it just going to be Elvis and Spanner do we think?

Are we playing by our usual rules, ie, no commentary on here until after the programme finishes?

I hope I'm wrong about Elvis and his lovely hair too! From the interviews I've seen, he features heavily in ep3 and ep4. He was only filming in South Africa, not Malaysia and there are 12 episodes to this series I think. MK mentions being away for 7.5 months in total, where Lucas mentions being away for 3 months.

Looking foward to tonight's comments!

kazzaD66 · 24/10/2017 15:22

ilove re the SF - Jack Parry Jones(?) who was the Welsh one, isn't in this series, clashing schedules? As to the 4th one who reminded me of a weasel, can't remember his name, either in RL or his character Hmm
I'll hopefully be able to watch tonight's Ep on Thursday afternoon but don't think I'll have the willpower to stay away from MN and other social media until then Confused . Still thinking it must be Captain Azizzi who betrays CJ, although hoping I'm wrong.

Rhubarb01 · 24/10/2017 17:18

Next week's RT landed on my mat today and there are a couple of spoilers in it so I've some idea what to expect tonight but I'm keeping it zipped.

Usual radio silence from rhu during the broadcast so will discuss afterwards ilove

Ilovelblue · 24/10/2017 21:58

Well, safe to say I was completely on the edge of my seat there, chewing my nails! What did everyone think?

Lots of Elvis (and his haircut) and lots of CJ. Oh and lots of Two Section banter. What was there not to like?

OP posts:
Flowerfan · 24/10/2017 22:05

And breathe !!
Need to watch that again half the time I was holding my breath
I suppose there wil be the usual critics but I enjoyed the drama once again it is NOT a documentary
A whole week to wait again 😒😢

Rhubarb01 · 24/10/2017 22:06

Good episode! Lots of harking back to series 1 I think but all the better for it. Plenty of CJ and Elvis. Maisie is growing on me. A lot to digest. I do think MK does the action stuff pretty well although she gets quite panicky sounding sometimes which seems strange. I wondered if CJ would tear her off a strip for disobeying orders but I guess its unlikely given his none to clever performance. My only disappointment was still no mention of Molly!

The only thing that jarred was the moment they arrived in Kabul on the plane and it was so obviously an old airfield in the UK.

Flowerfan · 24/10/2017 22:07

Yes ilove lots of our favourite men and banter

Ilovelblue · 24/10/2017 22:11

Definitely the best episode of the three so far. Occasional lines reminiscent of series 1 but no criticisms from me. Am I right in thinking the scene by the bridge is the same bridge as they used in series 1?

CJ was more like he was in series 1 and as for Elvis, mmmm. At the end with all the dust etc on his face, he was just gorgeous.

OP posts:
Rhubarb01 · 24/10/2017 22:19

I was yelling - its the bridge! Very reminiscent of series 1 with the flags fluttering in the breezed not to mention Captain Azizi and Charles talking about 2014 - still not mention of Molly - is that significant? He didn't even say anything to Elvis when they were sharing a cuppa and they know each other better. He did say to Elvis something about dealing with one emotional problem at a time .

I see they managed to find a reason for Elvis to get his top off again.

Ilovelblue · 24/10/2017 22:22

You complaining about Elvis taking his top off Rhu? I thought you'd be rubbing your hands in glee! (As I was).

OP posts:
Shenanagins · 24/10/2017 22:28

Edge of the seat there and we’re not out of the woods yet!

A bit worried about Elvis now, hope he makes it to the end of the series.

Rhubarb01 · 24/10/2017 22:31

Did I say I was complaining ilove? I merely commented there was a reason to take his top off - nearly as good as the shower scene but not quite.

I do hope Elvis lives to fight another day even if it's not in the next part of the story.
