I'm still here, albeit with a slight name change since thread 1- was beingfrank then! Can't watch tonight unfortunately as I have a cinema trip (freebie) - one of the perks of my daughters internship. May have a sneaky peak at the thread in the morning though if I can't resist! Probably won't watch it for a day or two unfortunately unless I give myself a preview in my own living room before re-watching with dh when we've finished Dr Foster!!

Hi MiniCooper. I think those of us who have been on here for a while are all of the opinion that you wouldn't be wearing so much makeup in the middle of a battlefield! For me it was the incongruous pink lipstick which made it seem so odd.

Some of the other promo photos are slightly more believable I think.

Really looking forward to episode one!

I was shopping in town this afternoon, looked at my watch and thought "Less than 6 hours to go!" Is it wrong to be so caught up with fictional characters? (No need to answer that, it was rhetorical).

Hi people, I am back after quite some time, too :-). Just found out about series 3 this weekend, so I missed the re-watch (?), but I might scroll through the pages if I can find the time. I rewatched parts 2-5 sometime ago, so it's all relatively fresh.
Since I tape the episodes via an online service, I'll usually watch it 24 hours later, so I should vanish quickly from this thread, before all of you come streaming in, complaining or praising. ;-) I haven't read or seen anything about series 3, so I am going in with an open mind.
See you tomorrow (or thereabouts).

Here we go - exciting! Please please have lots of CJ... I hope he's more of a main character than last series.

Just got back from my film and caught a lovely glimpse of CJ as I turned on the telly before quickly changing channel. A little something to whet my appetite before watching the whole thing!

OK, so what do we all think?

Well, lots to consider there. Quick thoughts.. lots more of two section which was good, Maisie = new style Molly? Would anyone really put up with someone so gobby? I can't believe she hasn't been in serious trouble. Quite like the authoritative Georgie. CJ a bit miserable.

Favourite lines - "Don't poke your finger at me." Stern face classic!
"I'd like to punch her perfect teeth down her throat" - laughed a lot at that one! I guess TG has read the comments and also the way lovely brains said "They are perfect".

I liked it - a lot. It was more series 1 than series 2.

Loved the way there was more of CJ than in the previous series. I hope TG has been taking notice of our comments.

As for Maisie, I agree with you Rhu. I find it hard to believe that total insubordination would go unchecked. No idea how long she's been in the army but I thought that sort of cheek would get knocked out of somebody when they were still in basic training.

I have to say Georgie is coming across like a pompous and quite annoying little character.

Also Maisie’s character is not grown up in Colchester. I live in Colchester and that’s not the accent 😊

There was only one "ASAP" from CJ as far as I can remember!
