Midsomer Murders - Joyce Barnaby

I haven't seen Midsomer Murders for years but I watched it tonight.

I've just realised that Barnaby is there (I did notice it's a different actor!) but where's Joyce and Cully?

Barnaby has a new partner so what happened to Joyce and her terrible cooking?

Jack Davenport's dad was in Howard's Way-anyone else old enough to remember that series?

I bloody loved Howard's Way! Sunday night tv at it's best.

Saw an old john nettles episode last night, had a blonde Olivia Coleman in it. He has an odd way of standing with his arms held stiffly out slightly away from his body, always makes me think he's got sweaty armpits under that suit which he's trying to dry out!

I'm surprised none of the "The old Poldark was the best" brigade have turned up to say that Jane Wymark was Morwenna in the series. I do vaguely remember her being quite beautiful and sort-of wisp-y in it.

Neil Dudgeon is The Dustman in our house (because of Common as Muck).

Neil Dudgeon played a gardener in an earlier episode of MM - I can't remember whether he was the murderer but no one in the area has spotted his double life/name & career change!
