We could get rid of a few that way.

I think Steve and Leanne could work, if they are left alone to get on with and don't start fancying all their exes again

Well they've both been married to everyone else of marriageable age, so I suppose it is the inevitable conclusion.

Wormulonian · 07/08/2017 15:19

Thanks Choccy knew I had missed apiece of information about Summer.

Boys you are right [Big grin]. I do hope MIchelle does not go back to Steve yet again or Leanne to Peter.

barkingfly · 07/08/2017 19:21

Is it too much to ask that they leave Michelle in the car trunk for a few months anyway?

Redglitter · 07/08/2017 21:03

I can't believe Michelle's kidnapping lasted less than one episode. Was hoping we'd see the back of her for a while

eddiemairswife · 07/08/2017 21:40

I don't have any interest in Luke and Aliya's relationship.

Another story I can't follow......Maria drives Will and Maria to town, parks the car and goes to a bar for a drink. Are we then meant to believe that Will left Maria, spiked Michelle's drink, took her to a carpark, gagged her,put her in the boot of her own car and then returned to Maria? How long would that have taken him?
That's almost as unbelievable as Phelan getting to his wedding on time, having dealt with Andy(alive or dead).

ellenanora5 · 07/08/2017 21:41

Good call earlier about Will being the kidnapper

Another bloody storyline that will eventually be forgotten about, just like Kaz

Akire · 07/08/2017 21:50

Who's is big car? Why putting keys down drain? Why not wipe it clean of prints? Confused.

Why dosnt Mary just save up for a flight to see son? Works full time lives somewhere... can't keep up.

myusernameisnotmyusername · 07/08/2017 21:54

I'm sure the creep who's been doing this stuff to Michelle and Robert is Will. Sorry if already mentioned but I didn't see it in the thread.

Optimist1 · 07/08/2017 22:10

Very good points, eddie - and am I right in thinking that Maria and Will weren't in the same bar as Michelle (surely they would have insisted on her having a drink with them since she gave them a lift)??

woodhill · 07/08/2017 22:22

The Will plot is beyond stupid.

CorporalNobbyNobbs · 07/08/2017 23:26

Yes was wondering how Will managed to fit a kidnapping into his date with Maria too.

Leanne and Steve is ridiculous. Couldn't they have starting seeing each other instead? Also, Liz was funny about the failed marriages to Gail but in Gail's defence she's only been divorced once! The rest of them all died!

Housewife2010 · 08/08/2017 06:04

Gail has been divorced twice - Brian and Martin. She married Brian a second time and was then widowed.

woodhill · 08/08/2017 08:14

Is Will wearing big glasses a symbol of being nasty and a madman? A bit like Finn Kelly in Neighbours.

Allthecarsarelonely · 09/08/2017 10:13

I agree that in the short term Steve and Leanne could be quite sweet and funny together. However, if they are aiming for stability for Oliver, surely both being single for now but living close is the best way. They currently have an amicable and respectful friendship with Oliver spending time with both parents and bonding with them.

Steve mentioned wishing that Amy's upbringing had been more stable, but actually I think on this count Tracey and Steve have done pretty well. Amy has always had a good relationship with both her parents and has been able to see grandparents on both sides too. Any instability she has experienced has not come from her parents splitting up, but from things like Tracey trying to run off with Rob. If Steve and Leanne just maintain their current situation Oliver will get lots of love and stability.

SymphonyofShadows · 10/08/2017 09:07

"I love you even more for beating the living shit out of rubbish gangster" ok then. Will is such a pantomime baddie too.

eddiemairswife · 10/08/2017 11:21

I was going to say that about Will. There was one moment he took his glasses off and looked knowingly into the camera, as if he was waiting for us to start booing him.

ellenanora5 · 10/08/2017 17:18

What has made Will do this though, he didn't come across as kidnapper when he was first in it from what I remember, and the rest of them must be blind if they can't see the evil looks he keeps giving Robert.

I wish he kidnap Maria and never bring her back.

eddiemairswife · 10/08/2017 18:40

Is Maria still seeing Aidan, or has he given her up now that Eva is 'pregnant'?

AnneEyhtMeyer · 10/08/2017 19:28

The Will plot (and I use that term loosely) is ridiculous. And it is made worse by involving Kym Marsh and Maria, two of the most boring, one-dimensional characters in the show, and two of the worst actors, and they have a lot of competition on that score.

OP posts:
Eastie77 · 10/08/2017 21:33

Every time Will takes those Deidre style glasses off, puts them back on again and glares ominously at Robert/the camera, I burst out laughing. It really is pathetic. Phelan's pantomime antics are bad enough but this takes ridiculous to another level. Maybe Maria will stumble upon the truth and he be forced to do away with her. We can only live in hope.

Please can Gary get kidnapped by Russian mafia when he goes off on this security job. I know Sarah isn't particularly sharp but does she really believe he can raise the deposit for a flat by doing a couple of weeks work 'fitting shops' with his dadConfused No mention of the £15k flat deposit she lost in the Phelan scam then. Wages at the Rovers must be amazing as she's managed to cobble together her share of another deposit in a matter of months from part time hours.

deadringer · 10/08/2017 22:24

Agree about Will, why is he hanging around like a bad smell all the time? Maria has only known him for two minutes why does she keep dragging him to Michelle's flat. I think the glasses thing is like superman's disguise, except he is a super villian instead of a super hero. Glasses on, good ol Will, glasses off, evil kidnapper. Nice to see that phelan hasn't really turned over a new leaf, he was doing his nasty smirk again after telling Sarah about Gary being sacked. Oh yes eastie hopefully Will will push Maria and Michelle off a cliff and Gary half the cast will perish trying unsuccessfully to save them.

eddiemairswife · 12/08/2017 13:59

Seeing Jack reminded me that Gary supposedly stays at Izzie's to help her out. I wonder if he'll be helping with the school run in September, unless something happens in Ukraine!
Also Lily and Ruby are also due to start school after the holiday, but nothing has been mentioned. In fact both Ruby and Hope seem to have vanished completely.
Another thing - what happened to Izzie's pain and her need for cannabis?

theliverpoolone · 12/08/2017 20:16

I'm a bit Shock at the questioning by Liz to Steve about his sex life!

Wormulonian · 13/08/2017 08:15

deadringer- a Corrie cull would be great. They always promise them in Soaps but they never really happen. I had high hopes a few years back with the minibus crash but what did we get - a "crippled" Sinead who is now lively as a sandboy with never a mention of aches and pains.

eddiemairswife · 13/08/2017 15:46

Had Sinead planned an evening of passion with Chesney when she was cooking chicken kievs? If so, where were Beth, Kirk and Craig supposed to go?
