They seem to be trying to tick boxes - "What haven't we covered......ooh, I know, Altzheimer's.........Rita's the right age....." Another prolonged, depressing storyline.

Oh God I hope not... I don't want Rita to be shuffled off to a nursing home in an unrealistic time span.

It will be a sad, sad day when Rita leaves the street. I thought the same re altzheimer's when she forgot about buying the mug.

Do we think Steve and Leanne are getting together? Not sure how that'll work; I never found them very convincing together.

Erica being sleazy flirty with Zeedan was awful. Badly acted and embarrassing to watch.

I just hope the scriptwriters remember that dementia can take years to progress. I would be sad to see Rita go.

Erika isn't nice, self centred. Poor Dev's twins in the kiddie cupboard and presumably Erika and Mary still live there and the teenage twins have to share a room?

Ugh those twins get on my nerves! They're meant to be eleven! Robert is as wooden as a plank too.

Erica was horrible with zeedan. I think she was just messing with him but it was quite creepy. Ridiculous that liz would move in to dev's elastic house, doesn't Mary live there too?

Erika was revolting with Zeedan. I'm hoping that someone will call her out and tell her it's sexual harassment.

Mike Baldwin had Alzheimers and the storyline was well written, a realistic slow burner as he started off forgetting certain words and it took some time (a couple of years at least I think) before he really declined. Back then the scriptwriters still knew how how to develop and pace a story properly. It wouldn't surprise me if Rita is diagnosed with Dementia and it is then 'forgotten' like David's epilepsy, Max's ADHD, Anna's burnt legs...I could go on.

I don't understand the Robert storyline. I thought he set up the dodgy guy who stabbed Chesney, when he was in the car with him and the police came. How come dodgy stabber man now seems to be free and after Robert and Michelle?

Also agree about Erica.. awful awful when she was flirting, or whatever it was supposed to be with Zeedan.

I think the awful thing about Erica's behaviour is that it's done in a semi jokey way. Pretty much the same way a sleazy older man would behave towards a young girl - knowing they were making them feel uncomfortable but, if challenged, could say, 'but I was only joking!'

That's exactly how it is stonecircle. Maybe they are setting her up for a sexual harassment storyline? I don't know, i don't read spoilers. She was awful though, cringey, creepy and deeply inappropriate. She's clearly staying with Dev for his money, too, having changed her mind Abu dumping h after finding out about the sale of the gym. They seem to developing her into a not-very-nice character.

SpinMill I think they're thinking that he's having contact with people outside of the prison who are doing his dirty work while he's unable.

Yes I wondered who Lucy was too. I think it might be the dreadful (actor) Will behind it all since he seems to have reared his ugly head again. What have they done to the mighty Kim Tate? - totally wasted on Corrie. I see they finally remembered that Liz and Erica were friends.

I find my attention wandering these days and multi task if Corrie is on - so I probably will ask daft questions on here about things I've missed.

I assumed Lucy was just some friend of Michelle's that we don't know. I still don't understand why the bloke who stabbed Chesney isn't in prison, I thought Robert set him up in the car with the drugs- surely he wouldn't have got bail?

The episode was so thrilling that I can't remember what Michelle saw when she came back unexpectedly.

I think Lucy was a plot device so Michelle would go off somewhere.

Love the way they are all saying that the surrogacy is a great idea even though Gary tried it on with Tina while she was pregnant, she tried to keep the baby and then she lost the plot and had an affair with Peter leading to end of his marriage and his wife losing a baby. And then she was murdered. Yep great idea!

Wouldn't most people ring or text if they'd gone to stay with a friend and the plans had fallen through?

I thought he was in prison too SpinMill so I'm as confused as you! That storyline is awful. Drugs, violence, threats, crap gangsters...That's not what i want to see when i watch Corrie.

I don't see the point of all these crime stories, as they often seem to fizzle out as soon as an arrest is made. Caz was arrested and that was that. We don't know if there has been a trial or if Maria has been/will be called as a witness. What will happen to Nathan now that Neil's involvement has come to light? I supposed that Rich is out on bail. And WHEN WILL WE FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED TO ANDY???
