ImperialBlether · 05/06/2017 21:32

It's very interesting, isn't it? But yes, very strange people!

ImperialBlether · 05/06/2017 21:32

He's coming across like one of the worst bastards on the Relationships threads now!

VanillaSugar · 05/06/2017 21:34

Woah, what channel? Can I get it on plus one?

SerfTerf · 05/06/2017 21:35

.

Muddlewitch · 05/06/2017 21:36

It's on itv so yes will be on +1

VanillaSugar · 05/06/2017 21:37

Thank you!!! Don't put a spoiler on here but I think he killed the nanny.

PedaloBar · 05/06/2017 21:37

It's seriously fascinating.

SuperFlyHigh · 05/06/2017 21:42

Imperial definitely a LTB for Lord Lucan! Grin

Very strange set up, but love the old films of their glamorous lives.

I really enjoyed the drama about them that was on a couple of years back too.

ImperialBlether · 05/06/2017 21:46

Oh my god, that he wanted her to take sleeping tablets and she knew he wanted her to sleep so he could smother her with a pillow! And their poor child had seen her covered in blood, with the nanny dead.

SealSong · 05/06/2017 21:47

Yes. Fascinating.
Both very odd. He was clearly an abusive bully, to put it mildly!

Itsjustaphase84 · 05/06/2017 21:51

Oooh missed it
Wanting to watch it. should be on iplayer hopefully

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 05/06/2017 21:56

absolutely fascinating.....

old footage is great-love seeing inside of their seemingly glamorous life
but the whole thing so sad.

ImperialBlether · 05/06/2017 21:59

And of course one of the children watch Princess Diana's mother, wasn't she?

ImperialBlether · 05/06/2017 21:59

was, not watch!

SealSong · 05/06/2017 22:00

She strikes me as a very sad character.
She seems to struggle with insight and empathy for her children.

Whathaveilost · 05/06/2017 22:00

I rather liked her but what a life she has had.

ImperialBlether · 05/06/2017 22:02

Oh I've got that wrong. Will work out the relationship now!

SuperFlyHigh · 05/06/2017 22:02

Imperial slight confusion there, Frances Shand Kydd isn't related to the Lucans.

Maurice (baron) and Ruth Roche were FSK's parents.

BubblegumFactory · 05/06/2017 22:03

I only saw the second half.
Not convinced by her story, just doesn't ring true somehow.
Why has there been no contact with her children for 35 years?

BluebellsareBlue · 05/06/2017 22:03

Don't think so, her second husbands half brother was the Shand-Kydd who took in the Bingham children I think. I only think 💭 know this as this programme caused me to Wikipedia loads of things so I could be wrong.
Anyway I felt so sorry for her at the end, I didn't catch the start but possibly PND? And my heart broke for her sitting there at the end on her own Sad

BluebellsareBlue · 05/06/2017 22:04

Sorry that was for imperial

BluebellsareBlue · 05/06/2017 22:05

And of course on my first post I was referring to Frances shand kydd being princes Di's mother and it being her seconds husbands half brother who took the kids in.... I haven't even had any gin!!

BluebellsareBlue · 05/06/2017 22:07

Bloody hell!!! I'm having a right nightmare tonight! And the reason shand kydd took the kids in was that he was married to lady Lucan's sister!! Woah! I'm giving up now! Does ANYONE know what I'm trying to say??
