Thought I'd better start a new one since the old one filled up!!

Ariawyn - Lofty was in Casualty. IIRC he was secretly living in Robyn and Max's loft (hence the nickname). When he was discovered they let him stay on and they became friends. I can't remember whether he was a nurse or a HCA but he was soon working in the ER. One of those kind, empathic souls who can spot the real problem when the doctors are still scratching their heads trying to diagnose. There was a truamatic incident where he and an agency nurse who was taking some sort of drugs to keep her awake were stuck in a lift with a patient whose heart stopped. Lofty had to do the shock thing, but the agency nurse didn't stand clear for the shocking and as a result she died. Lofty was knocked for six, in spite of Charlie Fairhead's ministrations, and left his job.

(I'm perfectly happy to be corrected by someone else if any of the above is wrong - my memory isn't always as good as I think it is!)

Casualty has been part of my Saturday routine for more years than I will admit to, Ariawyn. It's not as good as Holby City IMO, but you could give it a try if you've nothing better to do!

re spoilers, not all regions show the trailer. wherd i live we only get the episode.

I love Holby but I really wish they would stop getting the doctors hiring the nursing staff!!

I really really hope that Zosia and Ollie get married and that the writers don't mess it up by having one of them die or something.

Can you imagine a soap (sorry, 'continuing drama series') wedding without some kind of incident?! They won't be able to stop themselves...

I was really relieved when pregnant Ruth and Jay finally left Casualty and had their happy ever after....so that the writers wouldn't let more horrible things happen to them!

I really wanted jac and Matteo together for longer raf needs to ship back to aau he's totally lost his charm and ego since joining Keller I absolutely love zosia and olly together but definitely thought zosia should have kept their baby i just want to cuddle dom he's totally broken since Isaac(bastard) kept hitting him and manipulated him. I think henrick Hansen should try save Dom from himself it's obviously an addiction to painkillers or steroids and I think saccha should have called his bluff when he caught him I think mo should be the new head of cardio and bring back johnny also anyone else just love dr Wolfe on aau (forget her first name) and her son cameron wooow he's at least an 8 they need more hot doctors on holly city !!

Am I right in thinking that we know nothing about Alice/jilting/Alice's brother from Casualty?

Yes, Optimist, I am quite positive this storyline never occurred in Casualty

Holby does seem to have a bit of a rep for turning people. Must be something in the water.

I had hoped jac losing her job would see the return of elliot, but I guess not.

Can I join please? Watched both Holby and Jac forever.

Think they're setting up a Dom and Lofty love interest, hence why Lofty goes around kissing male patients, and Dom's nastiness to him, they're sowing the seed for these two.

Just twigged that the actress playing Lofty's jilted bride to be played Denise's daughter in Eastenders, this threw me a bit as I thought I'd recognised her, assumed it was from Casualty and thought I'd missed her and Lofty in that.
