I've nothing against Saliha personally but she has been allowed to cook within her comfort zone too much. Maybe instead of the round abroad they could each be sent somewhere making very different food to theirs and have to come up with a dish afterwards - maybe classic French for Saliha.

Callmesausage · 12/05/2017 16:57

Steve will win I think, though rooting for Giovanna

QueenMortificado · 12/05/2017 17:41

I don't really understand the comments about Saliha only cooking in her comfort zone

The others have surely as well? They've never made anything other than classic English have they?

catwithflowers · 12/05/2017 18:22

Can I just say I ate at Sat Bains restaurant last year and it was absolutely amazing 😊 Sat was actually cooking in the open kitchen along with lots of other young chefs. We had a chance to talk to the staff after lunch and they all seem to love him. They said he always puts his staff before customers so while the food still has to be top notch, his staff's wellbeing is his priority.

They have the most amazing gardens where they grow loads of their own produce. All the staff cook, wait tables and tend the garden and take care of the pet rabbit!!! I know it all looked a little weird on the telly but I promise you the food tasted fabulous (and was rather expensive 😱)

They have all made way more than classic English food.

ellenanora5 · 12/05/2017 20:33

Evening all, is everyone present and correct Grin

Come on Giovanna Smile

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 12/05/2017 20:33

Well, I'm all set. I'm never too keen on the back story bit, (except elf Lord Simon, who had everyone going awwwww)
I'd love it if someone said-tonight I'm doing egg and chips followed by a slice of viennetta.

fourquenelles · 12/05/2017 20:33

I have a large glass of Christmas mead (all warm spices and honey).

I expect Saliha's children are gorgeous; Giovanna has a farm and Steve lives in a penthouse in Canary Wharf (maybe not).

GrouchyKiwi · 12/05/2017 20:34

Evening all!

MrsPeelyWaly · 12/05/2017 20:34

Have plucked up the courage to watch it live though I hope I dont fall asleep due to the time difference.

Halsall · 12/05/2017 20:34

I'm bally well here, what? Grin

And also rooting for Giovanna

Here come the biog bits....

Aww look at baby Steve Smile

ellenanora5 · 12/05/2017 20:36

You can shout at Greg to keep you awake MrsPeely Grin

GrouchyKiwi · 12/05/2017 20:36

Awww. Lovely wedding photos, Steve.

I've just finished a Tesco "takeaway" so no snacks for me at this point. I did get DH to get some brie, though.

Halsall · 12/05/2017 20:37

I've got some mini-Magnums in the freezer. May have to gnaw on one in frustration if Saliha seems to be doing well

ellenanora5 · 12/05/2017 20:38

I'm stuffing my face Grouchy

expatinscotland · 12/05/2017 20:38

I hate Gregg so much, and I hate how he licks Steve's arse even more.

MrsPeelyWaly · 12/05/2017 20:39

I just want the end result to be fair and not politically correct.

Xmasbaby11 · 12/05/2017 20:40

Cambridge! No wonder she sounds so posh!

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 12/05/2017 20:41

Just eaten my body weight in jersey royals and butter with bacon, so not up for snackage tonight.
I think Steve.(but you know who I really want) was just going to say she lives in a modest gaff-with a grand piano.

GrouchyKiwi · 12/05/2017 20:41

Dammit. Piano envy.

Her Nonna is gorgeous.

ellenanora5 · 12/05/2017 20:42

Wow her nonna is 94

fourquenelles · 12/05/2017 20:42

Very talented but where is the farm? Grin

her dad is a bit of eye candy too

Halsall · 12/05/2017 20:44

I'd forgotten just how much of the final is taken up with interminable flannel. On with the cooking, dammit!

I can't be bothered with all the biog bits either.
