Great episode. One thing that puzzled me is that if Hilton wanted to kill Arnott, why choose that particular moment when he was going to see Nick Huntley? He could have had him killed at any point, surely?

Maneet, I think, was just scared of Hilton. Lakewell explained it basically when he said they were all frightened of the criminals and there was no hiding from them.

The hiphop - I think Jamie was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. He was hacked off with ac12 after his dismissal and played into hiltons hands.

Just said to DH on that forum I am on (in the whole first rule of MN is don't mention MN rules) everyone is all over the fact Maneet set up Jamie even though he turned out to be dodgy anyway and then she got away with it

It was just like mumsnet had written the last episode. Anything not covered, I don't think so, in fact I think Jed just needs to use the rest of the thread to make the whole next series. Good ending glad Roz was guilty i bluddy new she dun it.

I had a list of questions before the episode and pretty much everything was covered

However as I suspected they have left the identity of H open for series 5.

Some small things weren't covered such as the Hanna/Tim connection and what exactly Tim was doing with the samples etc.

Oh what happened to Hana? No mention of her in the wrap up at the end, presumably she has been released without charge.

No idea why Tim collected her fingerprint.

I don't think so. All the info that Roz came out with in the first interview must have come from someone who knew the ins and outs of Ac-12 quite well. That had to be Maneet. I don't think Jamie was involved with Hilton til he left AC-12 but I think I need to watch all 4 series again from the start just to be sure

I agree that Maneet supplied the info to Hilton but at the end before she left I though perhaps she set up Jamie because she knew what he was up to. Not an important point though, I was just speculating.

I see Steve is not paralysed. That's his second or third lucky escape.

Actually, what happened to JamieNotJames at the end? He wasn't mentioned in the wrap-up either.

Gulp. If Hastings is H, he's leading a good false trail, nearly bankrupt, divorced, un-promoted all these years since series 1. But, it could go some way to explaining why he has not looked more closely into who from AC12 was leaking to Hilton (re his sexism, Kate's ambition etc) because he told Maneet to do it. But he's awful junior to be H and allowed his personal life to crumble by going after Dryden who had as good as promised him a promotion.

If Ted is covering all this time, allowing collateral damage within the gang/bent coppers, it's got to be connected to his Masonic ties and will link the stories from S1 and S3. My brain hurts now, from trying to work out his motivations if it is him. Which I hope it isn't!
