Ah, so he really was guilty? I wondered if he was telling maia that so that she wouldn't feel too bad about his 35 yr sentence. But it appears he won't be serving it after all.

Where will he be headed - and surely the prosecutors knew he had the night before - in which case why wait a day before arresting Maia?

And what happened to Elspeth - isn't she supposed to be representing someone? Can't remember who.

Maybe the assertiveness storyline will end with a less annoying Maiaiaiaiaia

I have to say overall, in fact, I much prefer The Good Wife to this. Maia is no Julianna M and her ropey accent and twitchy face annoy me.

I loved seeing Sue from Glee playing the FBI officer, but I am not buying that they will actually have enough of a case to prosecute her.

I can't bear Marissa. Sorry, I know lots on this thread love her, but I find her overbearing and a smart-arse. I love Eli though. Sadly I don't think he's coming back – Alan C has been pretty vocal about how his role in TGW was basically to walk into rooms and say 'Alicia, what the hell's going on?' and how tired he was of it.

Actually, having said that, maybe TGF will offer him a role with a bit more variety and he'll take it?

I want Cary back too, for eye candy and nice hair.

Please let they find Maia guilty so they can write her out- the constant mumbling and throat clearing is infuriating. I'm close to stopping watching it she is a rubbish central character and just annoys me intensely - i just want to pick her up and shake her!

I'm glad other people also think Maia's accent is odd. I don't watch GOT, so I haven't seen her before.

In GoT she did a plausible northern accent (think she's a bit posh really). I don't think it's her accent per se in this, but rather her delivery and her teeth seem too big for her face but I think that's because she's lost a lot of weight.

The mother was bad casting IMO: too much surgery to act.

I think Maia is great. Lucca fab. Love Diane. And Marissa. Miss Eli.

But not enough tasty men for my liking. Where is Finn Polmar!

And the "We're so up-to-the-minute" Trump jokes. I'm hoping all that stuff will settle down in the next series.

And, like Chardonnay above, I really hate the exploding items intro to the programme.

I do like that Diane is on the back foot as well (although I like Diane). Presumably her awesomeness will overcome the obstacles put in front of her.

Oh, I like the Marissa and Jay partnership by the way.

The Good Wife was witty and more fun. This is very straight, and quite frankly I didn't give a rat's arse about any the court cases, even Colin Sweeny was boring.

Colin is SO HOT. I agree he is no Will Gardner but I think I actually prefer him to Cary and definitely to Finn.

Maia is annoying AF. She's the requisite Brit with a bad US accent, now that Archie Panjabi is gone. Lucca's accent is flawless though. As good as Alan Cummings. Did anyone watch the brilliant Jo Brand series Getting On? Lucca was the young nurse on the management fast track!

They've definitely gone full-on quirky judge in this series too but I'd love to see some of the old favourites back.

All in all a great show, can't wait for more.
