If this series is at all an accurate representation of the amount of corruption in the modern police, it's a bit scary!

Fwiw- I don't necessarily think that Steve's ex and Jamie getting out of a car together, even with Hilton in shot, means that it's all sewn up.

Beans- the name Desford is in Ronan Murphy's file along with Lakewell. Lakewell is noted as a known associate but it's not clear where Desford fits in- he could have been the investigating officer.

That's what I assume ktel : probably bent as a nine bob note then.

They don't do half as much research as we do these police in LoD. if we were there they'd have remembered that about Lakewell by now!

Good clip; that male Northern copper was a tough old bastard cop (a corrupt one) in Red Riding several years back. Anyone remember that? it was brilliant but so dark and grim I could barely watch it.

Arnott says to Roz "he sent you didn't he ?" who does he mean? who is the 'he' Arnott is referring to? I can't bear it......

My thoughts in the trailer:
*I don't think Steve is talking to Ros - the eye lines/locations look off.

*Think the guys in white forensic suits at the beginning are at the Huntley's house having found Tim's fingers/forensic suit.

• ?more body parts found w evidence of post-dating Farmer & Ifield.

In another forum someone added this screen shot of Ronan Murphy's file.

A lot of the key details are cut off, I don't know if there is a full version anywhere.

It states that Stephen Lakewell was a known associate. Desford's name is mentioned but it's unclear in what context.

Desford could have been an investigating officer in major violent crimes with Hargreaves and Steve's ex girlfriend.

Perhaps Stephen Lakewell is the gang boss and Jimmy one of his relatives.

Jaime and Arnott ex girlfriend are AC9! Another anti corruption outfit !

Oh no sorry, Arnott ex is Murder squad along with Grim Northern Copper. Who we have seen in previous series ( which one?) Jaime is AC9, though. So - a mole in AC 12? Undercover?

In series 2 Hargreaves was very obstructive with AC12 hiding key information.

Arnott is terror isn't he? That's how he ended up in ac12 when he blew a whistle.

Ok, I saw some information that indicates that Jamie came from AC9- which is the witness protection department.

Ah ok AC 9 is WP. A link/nod to the whole Tommy Hunter etc story line from Series 2 and 3. TH was in WP, when he got knocked off wasn't he.
