You're welcome hackmum, the pathologist guy in an earlier episode was the actor who played Horatio in the same production of Hamlet. This often happens when DT is in a drama, previous actors appear with him again.

CremeEgg I thought Mark was imagining killing himself - had not thought he'd tried and failed. He's extremely Lucky to have survived, given that he was in the water for the time it took for the empty boat to be spotted, the life boat called out and him found but I'm glad he's alive for Chloe and her sister's sake.
I noticed the rev was doing his bored look again - this time when Beth was talking to him; he also looked bored when Mark spoke to him a few weeks ago.

My money is still on the taxi driver. I think Sarah/Cath is framing Jim.

It was all a bit Wicker Man at the end. There was a similar scene in S1 when they lit beacons for Danny.

Graphista a PP said Rope Boy and Mansion Owner have different surnames. Although that doesn't prove they're not related.
I don't think Rope Boy did it. His secret is distributing porn, and possibly filming it.
Husband's secret was the spyware.
Jim's secret is he's a serial adulterer, and is being framed by Cath.
Ed's secret is his 5000 photos of Trish.
That leaves Taxi Driver. The socks will have come from his step-son. The police have his DNA.

When I say "secret" I mean they all had something to hide/look shifty about but not the actual rape.
OTOH Jim seemed to have met the owner of the red Clio but didn't she say he never turned up, so how did Jim know what she looked like?

Jim is a red herring.

Friend of mine would say it's LH's character as he's the most well known. Whilst I think that from the POV of his career he's obviously established enough that being known as playing a rapist wouldn't harm him, I can't see it being him.

Jim was in the frame from the end shot of ep 1 or 2 (can't remember which). So am ruling him out.

Taxi guy I think is being portrayed as too evil. I reckon he'd want to, but can't keep it up for long enough and hasn't got the guts regardless.

My money's on Trish's ex. But'in all honesty, I have no idea. I did read one theory which I'd be disappointed with, but I've really been enjoying the series. When it's finished I'll catch up with S 1&2.

Yep, so I think it will turn out the rapes were all by different people. Jim got very aggressive when Hardy and Miller started asking him about one of the previous rape dates - so that could have been the woman whose red Clio broke down. Laura Whatshername is someone else again, and Trish could have been Taxi driver/his son.

When Tom Miller shows some porn to Taxi driver's son, who looks sick/nervous, it could be because he knows perfectly well it was a rape that he was present at, rather than Tom being the villain of the piece. That still leaves unexplained why the woman in the soundtrack sounds like she's consenting though, could have been dubbed?

Leo's mother is clearly an mner and Leo had a double-barrelled surname and reverted to mum's surname at the divorce
