Today's episode was so sad

Oh so I got the first Brad/Beth and 2nd Brad/Beth wedding confused. Again must have hit every branch when he fell out of the Neighbours money tree to be able to afford all those wedding cakes!

I'm definitely coming round to team Sonya. She's a bit like an overzealous gerbil but she's no malice in her and being cheated on with a woman who shares Ellie's dentist must be a blow.

Sorry Pens, I know I am hard-hearted. I just find her insufferable. And her admitting she did it because she wanted another baby paints her in an even worse light! Selfish, stupid, whiney bore.

I get a bit bored of the post tragedy sadness dominating an ep. Obviously irl I would be supporting a friend throughout and surprised if they moved on so quick but in tv world it can really weigh you down particularly when the other scenes contain Amy.

And yes, admitting she wanted another baby and having found out about toadie's clinic prior to the turkey baster!

Anne - heart of stone! Though Toadie has been in Ramsay St for ever and she's just popped up far too recently to manipulate him into marriage so she could see Calum ... OK I hate her again.

She does seem to play being sad very well. But when she's happy she's like a bossy, holier than thou shrew. Can't stand her. I just wish dee had been real dee :(

Amy is so annoying, but she wasn't wrong. How on earth did/does Jack think he could just be a priest whilst also bringing up his child conceived in breach of his vows and outside marriage?!? Did he think no one would notice? Or that they'd all go 'oh well, just because it goes against all the tenets of the catholic faith, there's no reason why he can't be a priest; we're pretty relaxed about that shizzle'

And that's without the whole 'took advantage a traumatised parishioner after she'd almost died and was in a state of shock and hypothermic' aspect, which no one at all seems to care about.

I'm getting a little fed up with the cycle of misery/Amy/Elly-and-her bloody-enormous-teeth at the moment. Where is Tyler?

Seriously, who has ever seen a priest who looks like Jack? It's just not believable.

Why couldn't Toady and Sonya have another baby?

I've just caught up, my life is now better.

I do have to confess that I think Jack is gorgeous, and agree no priests look like that. But how stupid is he?!? We can all get by with love and acceptance, except in the Catholic Church you fool.

But just before the whole turkey Bastet surragcy story. Toadie found out it wasn't impossible for him to have a child he still has a sperm count very low and would need help to conceive but could father a child.

Yup. Toadie's medicinal wank proved that he could yet father a baby. Maybe he got BaDee pregnant in London with his Ramsay Street super sperm.

And thus joins the sperm scatterers.

I think he needed some kind of help from the clinic but he found out (and Sonya found the leaflet and asked if they should continue surrogacy) when they had just started the surrogacy route and before Steph found out her eggs were a no go and they stopped I think. And before Sonya then said "I'm ovulating in 2days, quick turkey baster!" When Steph didn't really want to and Sonya knew she could haveva chance at having a baby with Toadie. And now to say she really wanted another baby! Why with Mark and not Toadie?

sonya was so selfish to do the surrogacy she rail roaded toadie and steph into it. then sidelined toadie. I mean wtf not telling toadie when there might be a problem.....cuddling up to mark at every opportunity.

So not just me who thinks Sonya has not been the saintly martyr surrogate in all this? As pp have said, there's no way she'd have given up the baby to Steph if all had gone according to the original plan; if the baby had gone to term, she would have brought it up with Mark and sidelined Toadie (and Steph) completely.
Anyone else wondering if she would return to her addiction after this? Or will Mark's love be enough to save her from herself and they will go on to have a baby together with no need for the turkey-baster?

The new competition bit - is it me or is Therese possibly the least laid back character?

"There's no coming back from that" well maybe in 6 months when there's another disaster and you realise you can't live without each other.
