Well what do we reckon?

I THINK Pru Leith will be ok. and possibly Sandi but Noel Fielding will he have the same warmth of Mel and Sue?

I wasn't going to bother when it moved to channel 4 as I lived Mel and Sue but now they've got Noel Fielding I'm in.

There was a Richard Ayoade rumour at one point wasn't there? Him and Noel = dream team!

Yes It said that in the paper. That would make it too 'male' heavy though.

Also there is to be a programme headed by Nadiya on the Beeb going out head to head!

You see I've not managed to watch anything with NF in it. I did try once but it was egocentric shxx. IMO Can he relate to panicking contestants like Mel and Sue could I wonder?

I never liked GBBO (sorry!) and Mel & Sue get right on my tits.

I so badly wanted to boycott it but I love Noel fielding... so torn!! I still don't see how it's going to work with channel 4's 'style' it was such a BBC show

I think Sandi Toskvig is very much in the mould of Mel and Sue and she will be warm, empathetic and probably funnier. Prue Leith should be as good as Mary. Not sure what Noel F will bring or how he will gel with Sandi T.

I won't be watching... It sounds crap.

Noel Fielding is enough to put me off any programme, let alone one that I had half a mind to boycott anyway.

But I think it's a sensible move by C4 - making it as different as they can.

I'd also enjoy watching Hollywood's head explode at the sheer alternative-ness of Fielding

I heard Noel Fielding on Radio 1 the other day and he likened his hosting of Bake Off to Salvador Dali advertising Cadbury chocolate. Give over

I agree stonecircle. Sandi is very bright and witty. Maybe she could Noel in order? Pru could, she's clever too. She's a brilliant chef, better than MB. I'm not sure she's a good baker though.

I thought the move would be a disaster but I absolutely love Sandi and Noel. I liked the old bake off, but I really disliked Mel and Sue so I'm going to love it.

Total turn off for me with Noel Fielding and Sandi T.

I won't be watching. Not GBBO without Mary in my view

I love Sandy, I don't know much about Pru, Paul's the same and Noel I can't stand him, so will I be watching probably not😞

beachbody Pru is classy enough to makes MB seem common but she's one of the girls IYSWIM.

I'm going to give it a chance with Noel if the women , and maybe Paul, can keep him order it should be alright. -or he might be so bad they chuck him off it-

I think you are right, @Restorativepowersoftea - and I am afraid that he will be seeing this as a vehicle for him to be whacky and eccentric, and that sort of attention seeking behaviour will ruin the programme.

The genius of Mel and Sue lay in the way they balanced their hosting role and the banter that involved with still making the bakers the stars of the show - whichninvolves a generosity and selflessness I don't think Noel Fielding possesses.

GBBO is finished as far as I'm concerned. This will be a pale imitation and not worth bothering with.

Cant stand Noel F, so very disappointed.

I love Sandi & Noel so I'm in!
