I think Noel & Sandi are only there because ch4 couldnt get anyone else.

That's what I think too, Bottom of the list. I would like to have been a fly on the wall in the meetings at the production company going though their wish list, and getting No, no, no!

I can't bate NF he will definitely fuck this up unless he's had a complete personality change...

Perhaps Noel bakes? Has he ever been on Celebrity GBBO?

Not keen on Prue L. She has no warmth, and lacks the essential kindness of Mary B. I don't think it's going to work with that combination of presenters.

A quick google doesn't suggest that Noel F has been on Celebrity GBBO, no.

The googling also somewhat unfortunately raised a Sun story saying that Jennifer Saunders, presenter Kate Quilton who, Josh Widdicombe, Dawn French, Davina McCall and Jamie Oliver turned it down.

Clawdy Prue Leith can be warm while judging on MC, she quite often gets into heated disputes with the 2 blokes.

Josh Widdicombe is the bloke I was thinking would've been much better than NF. Sapphire

Lottie, yes, French and Saunders would be good. Jennifer S was a hoot on the sleb one, albeit as a contestant.

PS I found Josh Widdicombe a bit creepy on Extra Slice; he seemed to have a bit of a thing for/crush on Chetna and went on about it in a way that went beyond sweet or funny, IMO.

Oh yes I remember that too Sapphire He had the hots for a different contestant every time he was on too. That was a bit meh. Maybe it was his way of being 'funny'.

I reckon that French and Saunders are too starry for it, it has to be about the contestants doesn't it?

French and Saunders would be great on it but i dont think big stars like that would want to do it because of the way that the production company have behaved. A lot of people see the bake off as mel, sue, mary and paul.

It is a shame that the old format is finished. Reboot But nothing stays the same does it? Even if it had stayed with the BEEB, Mary could've retired and Mel and Sue have been dissatisfied with it too. ( Sue went off it once).

French and Saunders are at a stage in their careers where they can afford morals! and I suspect they wouldn't do it on principle- it will be a very tough gig to be associated with. Which is a real shame- it was all so unnecessary of the prod company to start with.

I am a bit surprised at Sandi T too to be honest. I can't quite believe NF is going to ruin be on it either though.

Prue Leith is a judge on Great British Menu, not Masterchef.

I don't mind Sandi Toksvig but NF is a bit too try-hard wannabe eccentric. They're no Mel & Sue.

In my world GBBO ended altogether after the final of the 2016 series, so I won't be watching the pale C4 imitation.

Lottie It depends on the person , if they think morality is important. I read somewhere, or heard on telly, that Sue deliberately ruined the "crying shots" that Love wnted to include in GBBO. She's maybe rich enough to put her job on the line who knows.

Tbh I'm a bit surprised at the programme about children doing stuff that is fronted by Dawn French.

Top Gear all over again. There'll be one meh series, boot someone out and then return improved but not as good as the original. I'll give it a look, no more than that. Thank gawd it's not French and Saunders, they're not funny, especially DF. I've always liked Sandi Toksvig but heard her recently on Chain Reaction and didn't like her to my surprise.

Lottie I'm surprised because despite Dawn saying it's in the best "possible taste" It was a bit exploitative and not in the best taste IMO.

Davros That could happen especially if the programme fronted by Nadiya turns out to be very good. Funny I'm more for French than Saunders, their original 'comedy' programmes put me off Saunders ( though I like AbFab).
They'd be too much as replacements for M & S.

I doubt she's particularly rolling in it, tbh. I think she and Mel both used to do that to protect the contestants from being filmed/broadcast at their lowest points, and I don't think it's either a sacking offence or something you do only if you're rich! I'd say it's part and parcel of what goes on when a show is being filmed; neither here nor there really, apart from being a nice gesture on Mel and Sue's parts.

I quite like Noel Fielding as a comedian but I do think he looks a bit grubby to be in a kitchen. I'd be worried about the state of his fingernails.

I thought it seems like a nice programme not an exploitative one.

I find that tiny children aping adults, like Toddlers and Tiaras ( which makes me vom. it's sooo disgusting) The little ballroom dancers, were bit much because I tend to wonder if they're allowed to be children at all. So much practice goes into that sort of performance, it was brilliant, but it's not natural. And that poor chubby boy

Yes NF does always look grubby. Like he never washes his hair or cleans his teeth.
