Previous Homeland thread - new thread for the sake of inter-episode tidiness.

Who was driving the blue truck? The one that Quinn saw at the van dept, and which led the FBI guy to the trolling centre?

ZilphasHatpin · 04/04/2017 13:56

That was wooly hat

SoulAccount · 04/04/2017 13:56

The picture that Max sent to Carrie's computer, of Dar and altRadio guy, gives PE, Carrie and Saul the evidence they need without exposing the Berlin Breach.

SoulAccount · 04/04/2017 13:57

Ah, thanks, Zilpas. I couldn't remember whether we knew that for sure.

SoulAccount · 04/04/2017 14:01

Good job Ellie Miller (Broadchurch) is not in charge of this case: smashing up the computer and phone that have all the evidence on them!

Cocolepew · 04/04/2017 22:55

Just caught up, poor Max!
I see St Saul of Bad is, um, probably doing something nefarious and underhand 😐. We don't know what yet because he's sneaky. Obviously.
I love this series its hurtling along at a rate of knots.

Fiderer · 05/04/2017 06:43

Pah, Coco Pile of tosh. St Saul of Goodness could have buggered off with his diamonds but decided to stay for Good Reasons. Admittedly his ex-wife had to nudge him but he stayed.

And will sort everything out. Hopefully Quinn too. I'm a wee bit tired of seeing broken Quinn.

Madwomans · 06/04/2017 10:36

Max, the hottest man in the series (unless ferretty Quinn is your thing) cannot be tortured and killed! Please let him have some special hi-tech geekery that makes his phone evaporate, or at least shows no evidence he filmed Dar and Right-Wing TV Nutjob. I can't face it if he's killed and murmurs 'Fara, I'm coming....' with his dying breath.

Mira looked fabulous, and I loved what she (and her double) were wearing. Presumably he only met her to plant a false trail towards Greece? I'd like to have heard what she actually said to change his mind, but perhaps more effective not to hear it, though. Though I quite liked the idea of Saul as a Jewish Greek Orthodox priest, or, alternatively, on the run, Jason Bourne-style, with only a passport, an arsenal and some diamonds. Grin

The thing DH and I quibbled about is why no one around the PE has suggested the footage of the PE's son's 'cowardice' may have been doctored -- surely it's the first thing a savvy bunch of political operators would think when something appears on TV with such an obvious political agenda? What generally becomes of soldiers' helmet cam footage, and was there only one member of that platoon wearing one?

My favourite moment was Saul's happy 'That's my girl!' face when he looked at Carrie's secret room of newsclippings and arrows. Though yes, why on earth stand around on the street roaring Carrie's name, and then break into her house?

ZilphasHatpin · 06/04/2017 12:18

Do we have any idea what Saul was talking about when he said "meet and filled me in on a few things" (or something along those lines) in his Voicemail to Carrie? What does meera know?

HalleLouja · 06/04/2017 16:37

Zilphas I thought she was just filling him on the fact he needs to man up and stay. But might have missed something...

ZilphasHatpin · 06/04/2017 18:28

Ah ok! I thought he meant meera told him something about Carrie and I was wracking my brain to try and remember what interactions meets and Carrie had in the past.

Lweji · 08/04/2017 12:47

Just for you.

Saul good is (except for the people he ordered killed)

And two more seasons to look forward to.Smile

ZilphasHatpin · 08/04/2017 13:52

Ahh lewji! Thank you for that. He really is a beautiful man. I love that the little boy called him grandpa. He really is the most loveliest snuggle grandpa man.

Fiderer · 09/04/2017 17:57

Ah, St. Saul.

Thank you, Lweji

BlackDoglet · 09/04/2017 19:05

A Saul sigh from here too.

St Saul of Sincerity Halo

Cocolepew · 09/04/2017 19:20

Right, here goes .

I might be ready to conceed that Saul isn't quite as bad as I used to think.
But there is no denying that there were a few dodgy incidents in the first couple of series.
Maybe the writers changed direction.

Hassled · 09/04/2017 19:41

Coco - are you quite well? Has anyone got any tea and biscuits to hand?

Cocolepew · 09/04/2017 19:49

I think I might be running a temperature

Hassled · 09/04/2017 19:54

You're definitely not yourself. Take it easy tomorrow - spend the day on the sofa watching Saul be good in all the previous seasons Wink.

BlackDoglet · 09/04/2017 20:09

Coco - welcome to the light side CakeWineStarFlowersHalo

Cocolepew · 09/04/2017 20:18

Im really not comfortable with this.
I hope he does something sneaky tonight.

Fiderer · 09/04/2017 20:19

Was it the polygraph which Saul broke off?

Same one Brody did where he declared he hadn't cheated on his wife - with Carrie watching.

Hassled · 09/04/2017 20:23

Saul's still clutching the Israeli spy/jeweller's diamonds (inexplicably not in a bag or anything secure, but folded up in paper), isn't he? Maybe he'll do something a bit iffy with them and then Coco will feel better again.

Cocolepew · 09/04/2017 20:31

I'm watching Line Of Duty so won't see it until tomorrow.
Hopefully he flogs the diamonds and buys a couple of missiles or something.
