Will anyone here be watching?!

NapQueen that's a good theory with the caravans! I thought that the teenage boy wasn't his biological son, they had a break and she was already pregnant when they got back together?

Riversleep · 27/03/2017 22:13

What is the point of Rory the vicar? He hasn't done anything for 3 series, and now he's getting antsy because people are going to properly trained rape counsellors instead of to him? My DH thinks he's a metaphor for the increasing secularisation of society but that might be too deep for ITV...

Ivydalegirl · 27/03/2017 22:13

My crazy theory is that its Mark Latimer, all the rest are red herrings. He is so consumed with anger, lost his wife and is trying to get the courage to kill his sons murderer. Been practicing using vulnerable women as targets !

CountryCaterpillar · 27/03/2017 22:13

I'm a bit behind as we watch it later so we can forward the ads....but ooooh we've played in that playground!!

sundaymorningbringsthedawnin · 27/03/2017 22:14

Am I right in thinking that the bloke who plays Jim also played Alistair Campbell in the film, The Queen?

Clawdy · 27/03/2017 22:23

Did I miss what the picture on DT's daughter's phone was? Why would she have a dubious pic on her phone unless she'd already sent it to a boyfriend?

Fizzingwhizbees · 27/03/2017 22:29

I have a weird feeling Cath knew about Trish and Jim before she let on that she did. She seems to be unravelling.

I'm also a bit suspicious of the caterer- he's been introduced but not properly investigated, each rape was connected to a big party, young enough to be on a football team. But then the actor hasn't been in it much and isn't that famous if we're going by the old Midsomer theory. The cab driver? In cahoots somehow with that shifty Leo guy?

I'll just go back to my old series 1 theory and blame it all on the angry vicar.

CountryCaterpillar · 27/03/2017 22:32

Ah so dts duaghters pic was probably what the teenage boys were looking at earlier in the series?

Exhusband breaking in is just to get the laptop back he's been trying to get back to get rid of whatever it was.

Lenny Henry beat up the guy as he's protective of Trish and thinks it's him...?

Letseatgrandma · 27/03/2017 22:36

I don't think it's going to be a famous/Midsomer murderer--it wasn't in the first series.

I reckon it might be to do with Mark Latimer? Or Tom Miller. I don't think it's Rory.

First I was thinking the taxi driver as it's someone who knows where parties are (as he's collecting them) but the caterer would also know this. Is he a seasonal caterer?!

CountryCaterpillar · 27/03/2017 22:37

Oooh caterer could be!

CountryCaterpillar · 27/03/2017 22:37

I was frustrated nothing gets resolved. Half tempted to miss the next 2 and watch all 3 on the 17th!!

rollonthesummer · 27/03/2017 22:37

Why is no one surprised that Trish slept with her BEST mate's husband first thing in the morning?? I could understand (though it's still crap) if they'd had drunken sex after a party-but in the morning?!

MusicToMyEars800 · 27/03/2017 22:42

country I am glad I am not the only one that is impatient Grin but I am that impatient that I don't think I could miss it unless there was a reason I had too

pizzaeatingmonkey · 27/03/2017 22:42

a ha...Sir Lenny attacked the taxi drivers wife, when she was a teenager and the result was the boy...and he's been attacking women ever since?

IhatchedaSnorlax · 27/03/2017 22:43

I think you're right Fizzing - all 3 rapes were associated with parties & yet they haven't looked into that side of things at all (caterers; waiters; DJ / entertainment etc etc).

Series is good so far!

rollonthesummer · 27/03/2017 22:48

Wasn't there a band there for the party in an earlier episode??

OP posts:
bagelbaby · 27/03/2017 22:50

I agree about the early Saturday morning shag is odd!
Interesting theory about Ed and his son.
No one significant is a seasonal worker though.
Unless it's Trish's ex on school hols

storynanny · 27/03/2017 22:55

I'm so confused by tonight's episode.
By the way , any of you "youngsters" who watched "Through the dragon's eye" at infant school might have recognised Carolyn Pickles in tonight's episode, without an orangey face and funny costume!

Missanneshirley · 27/03/2017 23:07

I think it's the musician from the party.
Victim who came forward mentioned live music
Seasonality might mean their "touring" schedule?

Either that or its smarmy teenage football guy - but he seems a bit too obvious?

I think the DTs daughter storyline might just be a vehicle to move him on from the village at the end of the series?

Ex husband/teacher has been watching pupil porn and Miller's son is a distributor too?

ohfourfoxache · 27/03/2017 23:13

Ivy I'm with you- I also think it's Mark Latimer. The amount of anger and hopelessness just seems to point to him, especially as he seemed to know Cath et al (they were all playing football together on the beach).

GirlInterruptedOftenByKids · 27/03/2017 23:29

They all did it. Everyone in that town is super creepy and suspicious. ...except Miller.

So do we know for sure who else might be on that football team? The guy with the man bun wasn't the musician was he? I'm guessing he was just a generic man putting his kit in

GirlInterruptedOftenByKids · 27/03/2017 23:35

Also why hasn't Katie mentioned that her dad is one of the suspects. Creepy Arran had links to the farm shop, did he? Your dad's shop? ?

VanillaSugar · 27/03/2017 23:36

Love the Lenny Henry idea...

theliverpoolone · 28/03/2017 00:03

DT seems very fit and well this series - wasn't he at deaths door with a heart condition in S2? Confused

ohfourfoxache · 28/03/2017 00:28

He had a pacemaker fitted towards the end of S2 Liverpool Smile
