With the DVD on pre-sale I think maybe Oct/Nov after some of the current stuff is finished. Will definitely be only 4 eps and definitely before xmas.

I'm watching Suits at moment, really good. Only one on series 1 but it's rather addictive.

Good to see some FF updates, but am getting bored with some, seem to be same stuff again & again.

Short answer there Icemist it you find them boring don't read them but there is no need to be rude. Have you never heard the saying "If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything". Try to consider how the writers would feel if they saw comments like this, especially as you run the OG FF Twitter Account. These writers were probably fundamental in keeping OG love and interest going while we all waited for series 2. I get that not everyone is going to enjoy all stories written as we all have individual taste but if I was a writer I would find your comment quite hurtful and offensive. Clearly from the reviews there are many FF readers that would firmly disagree with you.

Think both MN, various fan groups on Twitter , FB etc also kept OG going. FF was just one part.

That anyone puts themselves out there to publish FanFiction is in itself a wonder, but to have to put up with you saying on a public forum that you are finding some boring is beyond humiliating and frankly downright rude on your part.

For myself, I had been working on something and trying to work up the balls to share it. I wouldn't dream of doing so if I thought it meant reopening myself up to more humiliation from yourself.

I am appalled and very disappointed that you would write such a thing and could not in good conscious sit back and read your post without calling you out for it.

No doubt I will disappear again for another million years and this post will make zero difference to you, but please, have a care for your words and the effect they have on the individuals they are about.

For goodness sake this is what the site is for expressing our opinions and it was only a comment about what someone thought.

Yes we all appreciate the ff writers and like all things we do not all have to agree about them.

It was not said with malice and was merely an opinion in a free world. Making an issue of it is ridiculous and making a mountain out of a molehill!!

You used to be part of the brilliance that was this site and it's just so sad that your posts have turned so many other funny, brilliant people away.

If you are the FF champion on twitter then dissing the FF community here is a tad disingenuous. The FF writers are not professionals. They have fragile egos and are easily discouraged, as you can see from the comments above. Have you tried writing? Why not give FF a go? It would be great to see some new writers...

Finally, while I'm sorry to hear about your DM and SIL, I'd rather you didn't bring it up as a sort of weapon aimed at anyone that disagrees with you. I think if you asked, you'd find that many people on here probably have similar problems. We're at that age in life unfortunately, when things happen to people around us. I've certainly had a bad summer. I wouldn't ordinarily mention it on here. But I do, because I believe you can't use these kinds of problems and fling them at anyone that disagrees with you. It's manipulative, PA and in terrible taste and I wish you would stop.

I am really sorry about Ice as she was always a help for non techies like me, starting new threads and keeping us updated with news of OG I hope she will rejoin us sometime soon as I think she has more friends than enemies. I can't remember who started the first thread now Kezia but whoever it was had clearly not liked OG and the first post read something like "Has anyone been watching this drivel?" The audience seemed divided in the early days between loving it and hating it and also whether we wanted Molly to get CJ or Smurf. There was quite a following at the time for Smurf.

Really sorry, everyone but I won't be able to do the watchalong this week as I'm double booked. I'm quite partial to episode 3 as well - can't for the life of me think why - nothing to do with CJ's bedside manner in hospital, Elvis's heroics or any other type of bedside manner! It's only let down by the reappearance of Dr Boring (I am so sorry to the actor - nothing personal!)

Does anyone have any exciting plans this weekend? The weather has been really cold and autumnal. I have an inkling it could be a really cold winter this year - that is not based on any scientific fact or special powers, just my observation that it's a bit parky out!

I've only had the courage and the IT skills to post for the last year or so, although I did lurk for 2 years before then. I was slightly taken aback by ices original comment re ff if I'm honest, thought it was unnecessary and best left unsaid. I also think she compounded the issue by her further comments about her personal life. I don't know anything about that, so why would I ask her about it? Obviously, friendships have been made through this site and some of you know each other well now, which is great but a lot of us are on the periphary and don't know the details of other's private lives. I miss the days when this was a site for banter and general ribaldry from the likes of Woof, nickel and richtea and yes, ice, ilove, pix and a few others who are still hanging on in there!

Kazza I'm all for ribaldry and banter whenever and wherever possible. Long may it continue - but I would like some new sources of material - roll on series 3.

No worries Kazza. I do wish miss the Woof and Orphan show on here and I've never been able to look at Poldark the same way since the great show down between those two jokers.

Hi Rhu. Not a problem. It'll give me a bit more time to do some eBaying. I have been getting rid of some of my work clothes which are too good (in my view) to take to the charity shop.

I'm dismantling an old wooden pergola tomorrow in preparation for a smart new metal one being delivered in a couple of weeks. I also have the last of the tomatoes from the greenhouse to deal with. I think they'll end up as a tomato sauce for pasta. They've done very well this year.
