An indoor day here as it is cold and wet. However the bonus is that the garden is getting nicely watered as this is the first rain we have had for ages. Very unusual here as the Pennines do affect our weather making us get what feels like the worst of east and west sometimes. So a rest here football forDH ff for me. Morning all. Sorry to here the weathers been pants for a fair few of you. We were quite lucky that it stayed dried yesterday and for parts was rather warm. The bonus was I didn't get called into work either Cloudy today but after visiting mil we are going to the beach for a bit. No doubt it will probably rain!

Fine here today so must get my bike out as it's not been out of the shed for a couple of weeks. This afternoon, my friend across the road has invited me over for afternoon tea with her new neighbours. Not overly fussed but guess I have to make an effort with them. I think my friend just wants me to make a cake as they're more successful than hers!

Kezia and Yorks, we've been quite lucky with dry and sunny weather since I finished work and I've tackled a few boring outside jobs like cleaning the gutters but Good Friday and yesterday were pretty dismal.

The cats aren't bothered about poor weather over bank holidays.

We haven't gone yet nickel we are off on Thursday. The forecast doesn't look great where we are staying but it's a break. I fell over yesterday and twisted my ankle so now I have a black enlarged foot and hobbling, not the best look!

Ouch Rich. I hope that goes down a bit before your holiday. What better reason to plonk yourself by the pool and have drinks brought to you regularly though!

Rich all I can say is ouch!!! Hope it improves but take care and don't overdo it as it can take a while for everything to heal.

A little spot of mine that I don't think anyone mentioned - sorry if they have - but I have just caught up with 'Line of Duty' - I've never watched any of the previous series but had a binge watch last night and found it really good - I see that Dr Jamie has become Officer Jamie in this. I didn't realise that he was quite so tall or is it just that the other policeman actor is quite short?

Actually, I'm surprised that Theresa May's surprise announcement today wasn't the cast list for OG 3! As for the real reason I don't think I'm alone in thinking I need another election and a long period of campaigning like a hole in the head. We all scratched our heads at work and the general consensus was along the lines of 'you've got to be kidding!'.

Thanks for the link nickel the only exciting section from her blog was the reference to OG3, what a load of crap she writes about. How much do you think she gets paid for that column?! And all the mention of clothes labels etc she writes about she probably gets paid for advertising them too! And gets them for free... ok maybe slightly green eyed monster

All packed up ready for Spain tomorrow. I've spent more time making sure there's enough food in the fridge and clean clothes for this kids thank packing for us!

Did anyone watch Broadchurch? Loved this series but managed to get confused in the end! Miller and Hardy are a brilliant pairing.

Rich I hope your foot gets better soon and it doesn't hamper your trip to Spain. It looks painful. I've sprained my ankle a couple of times and have always used comfrey ointment to try and reduce the swelling and bruising. Has anyone else heard of this old wives' treatment? It was an elderly lady who once recommended it to me.

I've not read that particular MK article but I've read some of her others. I keep wondering if somebody would pay me to write a gardening blog so that I could get paid for product placement or whatever it's called and get to use expensive tools. Probably Monty Don and Alan Titchmarsh have beaten me to it.

Rhu I seem to recall Dr Jamie is 6'3" and was taller than both BA and Luke P may have shown an interest in this and had to Google it whilst OG2 was on our TV screens. I think he's ever so slightly better dressed than he was in OG as well.

Been out for lunch with some of my friends from work today and caught up on all their news.

Sean & Simon on a minibus. It sounded like MK talking in the background too. My guess is they're off to boot camp in the run up to filming

Thanks Ice boot camp was also mentioned unfortunately no news we really want to hear. Am having a non election evening again last night I watched two episodes of OG2 and am doing the same tonight. I enjoyed it as I haven't been as OTT with 2 so it seemed almost better than when I watched it live. Roll on more news !!
