Time for a new thread.

Last night's was the first time in ages I have actually enjoyed watching Corrie. What a difference a good plot twist can make!

Whilst we all recover from the shock of a plot not being immediately obvious from a mile away, just a reminder to everyone on the thread...however obvious a spoiler may seem to you, however many magazines it has been on the cover of, we don't talk about it on here. We are spoiler free.

OP posts:

Enjoy Nick or Nathan?

eddiemairswife · 30/05/2017 22:34

I've now realised I've had my Denises muddled up. I thought Denise Welch (in real life) was Daniel's mother, but she was Natalie.
However, whoever played his mother, Daniel is a rotten actor. I laughed out loud when he was hyperventilating in the bathroom.

honeyroar · 30/05/2017 22:43

Yes Eddie, the whole drama in that house was ridiculous. Into the quicksand with those three as well please!

Run4Fun · 30/05/2017 23:42

Last night made for very uncomfortable watching. Tonight the Quick Sand, much needed disaster to cull the cast. Could we encourage Leanne and Toyah to follow Nick in. Gail, Sinead and Liz could dive in to save them. Grin
The knock on the door was ridiculous, she looked like she has been dragged out of the 1950's backwards Grin
David was funny tonight with the hairclips on the phone. It took the edge off a bit.

CorporalNobbyNobbs · 31/05/2017 07:55

Denise looks like she's in disguise with fake wig and glasses, probably cos she faked her death on Emmerdale so she could go back to Corrie.

woodhill · 31/05/2017 08:40

Why didn't Shona just call the police rather than confront Nathan.

Yes please stay in the quicksand Nick?

CorporalNobbyNobbs · 31/05/2017 08:41

Because woodhill that would make too much sense. Even if she didn't want to get the old bill involved she could have gone to the Platts and David could have marched round there and sorted it out. Maybe bringing Todd who would unleash his latent powers of evil on Nathan.

MusicToMyEars800 · 31/05/2017 09:57

I like David, I was laughing at the scene with him on the phone.
I do hope they save Bethany... the bit where Nathan spikes her drink and when he and Mel are talking about the other girls, he talks about moving one of them because the family have put out an appeal to find their daughter just made me feel utterly sick, I think it won't be the end though, because isn't there a scene where he burns her with a cigarette?

MusicToMyEars800 · 31/05/2017 09:58

Run I agree, they can all dive in to save him Grin

Mexxi · 31/05/2017 09:59

Are there any decent actors in Corrie? Everyone hams it up to the max. It's been like that for years and I am so immune to the dodgy acting that I thought Daniel's hypervntilation was quite convincing!

EnjoyYourShitCake · 31/05/2017 20:34

Zelda Ken!

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 31/05/2017 21:17

Of course they will save her, it's been a dark thread, but no way they can let it go that far. I've not watched for a week, I watched the debate and have no clue what's going on. My money is in Craig to save her.

lonelysaddo · 31/05/2017 21:36

Well that was disappointing!

I thought we were seeing the back of nick?

eddiemairswife · 31/05/2017 21:51

Me too. I was expecting to see no sign of him apart from a few bubbles.

He always reminds me of tigger from Winnie the Pooh

Clawdy · 31/05/2017 22:28

The scene where Ken and Daniel's mum sat gloomily outside the bathroom was ridiculous. And how Denise Black is ever going to explain why she left a child without alerting someone else.....going to be interesting! Though apparently she "never stopped loving him"........Okay!

honeyroar · 31/05/2017 22:42

See, I said we should have put a foot on his head last night! If they'd wanted to do it in the old fashioned Corrie style they could have pulled out a different actor to play him.

The Bethany bit is getting worse. (She looked gorgeous tonight) All the stupid plots are a welcome interlude to breath.

EachandEveryone · 31/05/2017 23:02

Gorgeous dress

BreconBeBuggered · 31/05/2017 23:19

That dead bird, though. Eurgh.

honeyroar · 31/05/2017 23:20

Yes what was the dead bird about?

No spoilers Run you'll be killed!

deloresclaiborne · 01/06/2017 07:47

even in real life i dont think shona would of gone to the police she knows how nasty nathan and his mates can be so even if she got nathan arrested his mates would of beaten her up and moved bethany on, thats probably why she hasnt turned to david for help.

lonelysaddo · 01/06/2017 08:17

I was hoping nick would be bumped off so he never came back again Sad

Now we'll have the actor leaving in a black cab and making a return in a few months
