Time for a new thread.

Last night's was the first time in ages I have actually enjoyed watching Corrie. What a difference a good plot twist can make!

Whilst we all recover from the shock of a plot not being immediately obvious from a mile away, just a reminder to everyone on the thread...however obvious a spoiler may seem to you, however many magazines it has been on the cover of, we don't talk about it on here. We are spoiler free.

Adam and Tracey were talking about Ken's Will. Adam says something along the lines of "this is a different Will. My signature is on the other one". What?? Why would his signature be on it when a beneficiary is not allowed witness a Will?

Smith1 · 06/04/2017 14:50

I'm catching up. Do we know why tracy had to talk to the police the other day?

SoTheySentMeA · 06/04/2017 17:23

user Adam wasn't a beneficiary of the will he witnessed and signed. He told Tracey that one said everything had been left to her, Peter and Daniel. The one Tracey opened at the house was dated more recently, and left everything to Peter, Daniel and Adam.

lonelysaddo · 06/04/2017 20:36

What on earth was that message on simons phone all about?

Were we shown Peter making the call or have any idea what he was supposed to have done (maybe being tempted to have a drink) and how the hell did Simon get the message on his new phone when Peter never gave him the old SIM card??

Honestly why is Corrie so completely terrible now, I've watched it for years but find myself going a few days then groaning when I see I have a few recorded episodes to endure.

Think it will be time to give up on it soon.

BlackDoglet · 06/04/2017 20:50

I think the message was supposed to have been left by peter when he was leaving, the night Ken was attacked. He'd resisted the whisky (smashed the bottle) but thought he'd lost Toyah after that weird Chloe woman had spread lies. I guess peter was running away again (to portsmouth? That's where he always seems to go!)

I think Simon had saved all his photos, messages etc to the cloud so when he set up his new phone he was able to download it all.

It's all a bit farcical at the moment, too much "whodunnit" for me.

Where's Dev theses days? Eileen? Norris?

I'm assuming the fruit machine scene along with Audrey's broken wrist are steering the plot somewhere?

lonelysaddo · 06/04/2017 21:17

Ahh yes I remember him mentioning the cloud but does that save voice mails?

Even still it's just so rubbish at the moment

eddiemairswife · 06/04/2017 22:15

Eileen is in Peru.

Smith1 · 06/04/2017 22:23

Emily is in Peru. Eileen is conveniently staying with her sister Julie.

CarrieBradshawsScrunchie · 07/04/2017 08:49

Don't care about who pushed Ken, it's tedious. Why did they even hire Derek Griffiths, they've done nothing with him. Daniel, just bloody well go to Oxford!

Brolis · 07/04/2017 12:07

Where did Amy get £200 from, and why is she giving it to Adam? Is it to pay Ronan the drug dealer?

Do you think Daniel is hiding something else about his Mum's disappearance? If so, what do you think it might be? I hope Denise Black does turn up again.

eddiemairswife · 07/04/2017 12:16

Ken gave her £200 to buy a new violin. She bought an old one from Freddy and Tyrone for £10 and deliberately trod on it; then pretended to Ken she'd broken her good violin, which she needed for that evening's concert.
Goodness knows where Adam came into it.

CorporalNobbyNobbs · 07/04/2017 13:02

I think Amy was giving Adam the money as he's skint and he was nice to her the day he brought her to Deeeedreee's grave.

Denise has died over on Emmerdale so she can come back to Weatherfield now.

BlackDoglet · 07/04/2017 14:34

Ah, lightbulb moment - has Audrey broken her wrist so they need a temporary hairdresser? I wonder who's available?

ellenanora5 · 07/04/2017 14:49

Oh good call BlackDoglet, who indeed Grin

Housewife2010 · 07/04/2017 15:39

The Ken/Audrey would-be romance fizzled away to nothing. I would have liked them together.

Clawdy · 07/04/2017 18:56

Daniel is a dreadful actor, he's like a wooden post. All the competition for a role in Coronation Street, and he gets the part.

lizzieoak · 07/04/2017 19:24

But Bill Roache isn't that great either & Daniel is meant to be a mini-Ken so his flatness seems intentional. Or he's there representing the under-emoters of the world.

Where is Craig btw? I always enjoy him, he's interesting to watch.

eddiemairswife · 07/04/2017 20:09

Where were Eileen and Phelan sitting? A small table in front of a window. We've never seen that angle before.

hippyhippyshake · 10/04/2017 11:02

If a soap feels it has to tackle serious issues (Bethany) it needs to just have minor/light storylines for the rest of the cast while it runs. I feel the grooming issue is being sidelined by all the Barlow crap and when we return to Bethany and Nathan it's hard to keep track of how dangerous he is because it's not in-your-face like the other major storyline.

deloresclaiborne · 10/04/2017 14:55

eddie they have shown the dinner table in eileens lots of times usually in the morning with todd and billy or eileen sitting round it eating breakfast, never seen any window though it backs on to the kitchen.
as tracy hidden something in the gym she seemed very worried when she saw dev coming out of there and we still dont know why the police took her in

eddiemairswife · 10/04/2017 16:26

That's why I asked about Eileen's table. Usually it's in the middle of the house, and we don't see a window at all. As it is a terrace there will be only two downstairs windows.....front room where Shona sleeps, and kitchen, but it didn't look like the kitchen.

Smith1 · 10/04/2017 17:21

No thr table is under the window in their living room.
Did you notice the new room in Tyrones? Never seen their bedroom before.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 10/04/2017 21:53

I'm really behind, but lacking the tolerance to catch up.

deadringer · 10/04/2017 22:05

Poor sally, could caz be behind the reign of terror? I don't remember if she had a beef with sally but she could be getting revenge on sophie by upsetting her mother. I can't think of anyone else who would be so nasty, or so nutty.

AltheaThoon · 10/04/2017 22:05

I was wondering about the trolls...Wondered if it might be something to do with the builders? The ones Sally had a go at for catcalling? Probably a long shot. I really felt sorry for Sally tonight. I felt like i was watching Se7en when she was opening that box!

I wish they'd give Peter a storyline that didn't involve alcohol or attempted murder. I think he's a good character. I'd love to see him happy for a while.
