Time for a new thread.

Last night's was the first time in ages I have actually enjoyed watching Corrie. What a difference a good plot twist can make!

Whilst we all recover from the shock of a plot not being immediately obvious from a mile away, just a reminder to everyone on the thread...however obvious a spoiler may seem to you, however many magazines it has been on the cover of, we don't talk about it on here. We are spoiler free.

I wonder if Phelan concealed Andy's body in the loft of the flat. The noises are obviously something else, but the killing may be playing on Phelan's mind. Unless Andy is alive and well and having the time of his life in Bristol.

CorporalNobbyNobbs · 22/03/2017 18:35

Sinead did say she didn't want to move south as it's far too expensive and they wouldn't have any family support, which is fair enough. But why can't Daniel just tell her why?? Aaarghh.

Remember Todd was supposed to go to Oxford but then he stayed behind for Sarah and baby?

thenightsky · 24/03/2017 20:29

Have I missed an episode? How come Peter is being so horrible to Chloe? I thought he was enjoying sleeping with her and having a mistress.

hippyhippyshake · 24/03/2017 20:34

What a horrible man Ken is. The last episode I watched he was humiliating Sinead and putting her down and then telling Daniel what a Philistine Deirdre was. Hateful person.

Sillysausage123 · 24/03/2017 20:34

I also think the storyline has jumped with peter and Chloe.

thenightsky · 24/03/2017 21:01

Did he sleep with Chloe?

HouseOfMouse · 24/03/2017 21:06

Could they be leading up to a storyline where Ken gets bumped off? Only he's been giving everyone reasons.

Sillysausage123 · 24/03/2017 21:35

Yes I think they are leading up to ken being bumped off.
Daniel will find out about kens little chat and then the abortion, Tracey, Adam and Peter now all hate him and I bet it will be something ridiculous like Amy killing him with the violin the way Corrie is going

thenightsky · 24/03/2017 21:43

Bloody hell.. I must be zoning out or something. How did whatsherface manage to get a termination so fast? I watched it and thought she was saying she'd miscarried because she'd had an abortion in the past Confused

SpinMill · 24/03/2017 22:07

Do you really think they'd kill Ken off? I don't remember Ken being so horrible previously? Could it be from having the stroke? Makes no sense that he'd offer money to Leanne but would refuse to give any to Tracy, when the money is coming from what her Mum left.
Do we think it was Adam that Amy was on the phone to at the end?

ellenanora5 · 24/03/2017 22:46

I thought Dierdre left a shed load of money to Amy, where is that gone, and when did Ken give money to Leanne for Simon, what did she spend it on, and he was really horrible to Sinead, and then saying to Daniel "I thought the days of standing by your girlfriend were over" what the fuck was that all about, so because he's clever he should dump his responsibilities and go study for another few years, and as much as I can't stand Tracey I did feel sorry for her having to listen to Ken going on about his wasted life, he was bloody married to Peter's mother first so it was hardly Dierdre's fault he never went to Oxford or wherever.

Sillysausage123 · 24/03/2017 23:19

I really didn't like ken saying that either, it just seems out of character as he is supposed to have morals and it doesn't make sense.
He is upset about not being there for Daniel growing up and feels guilty but tells him 'he thought the days of looking after your pregnant girlfriend were over, and most men would probably run a mile'
I have never really liked ken for being self righteous but how Corrie are portraying his character now is even worse

BlackDoglet · 24/03/2017 23:37

Feel a little bit sorry for Peter - he hasn't slept with Chloe and he hasn't been drinking. I think he was tempted to but saw Chloe as an easy way to get money for Toyah and ivf treatment.
Chloe is a proper bunny boiler!
DD said tonight "Kens gonna snuff it after all this" but I'm not so sure.

Akire · 24/03/2017 23:45

It is strange about not lending money to Tracey. Yes she been wild but she had a good business going apparently so why risk her losing everything and never moving out!!

Not sure who Amy was talking too, good if she can be bit evil but not to much please! Maybe some wanted money to buy his mum something for Mother's Day??

Akire · 24/03/2017 23:45

*simon not some

ToEarlyForDecorations · 26/03/2017 17:05

I suspect Peter has had sex with Chloe at least once. He's also been drinking. Remember that he turned up at Chloe's house with a bottle of red wine ?

If no sex, then, why does Chloe keep giving him money ? Fairly generous sums too. A few hundred quid here, a few hundred quid there. She seems to be paying for his company even when it doesn't involve sex. Very strange.

(I also thought Ken lecturing Sinead was pretty much bullying. She did not have the maturity or vocabulary to respond.)

Housewife2010 · 26/03/2017 17:11

He didn't drink any of the wine. She offered him some and he declined.

SymphonyofShadows · 26/03/2017 19:33

Amy reminds me of Wednesday Addams. Ken gave Leanne the money to invest in the Bistro but Robert got there first, not sure if she gave it back or not. Dierdre left her money to Amy and Simon jointly.

woodhill · 26/03/2017 20:26

Amy is horrible. Hope she gets found out.

Can't Ken go off and marry Audrey. She seems to have disappeared then live in her nice house.

The kitchen thing is a joke. Where is all he contents and how do they wash up. Phelan wouldn't have time to be in Luke's flat. Ken would be getting annoyed not inviting Chloe in for tea with no kitchen.

Yorkshirebetty · 26/03/2017 20:32

Yes, what's happened to Caz? Where did Phelan dispose of Andy's body - surely not in that wretched canal?

stonecircle · 27/03/2017 08:24

he thought the days of looking after your pregnant girlfriend were over, and most men would probably run a mile'

I thought Ken said that with admiration as in - 'at least you're not like that'. I certainly don't think he was telling Daniel that's what he should do.

It is strange about not lending money to Tracey. Yes she been wild but she had a good business going apparently so why risk her losing everything and never moving out!!

He says it's because she'll use it to buy the florist premises off Peter who will use the money to buy the Rovers and he doesn't want Peter near alcohol.

Amy is horrible. Hope she gets found out.

I quite like her. She's very perceptive and sparky and poor kid growing up in that family! Also, we haven't been told why she's trying to get hold of hard cash.

lonelysaddo · 27/03/2017 12:54

Hope this isn't classed as a spoiler but just incase please don't read further

They just said at the end of "this morning" that you won't want to miss the interview they are having tomorrow morning so to tune in at 10.30 and were playing a clip of ken and Peter while saying about the interview. I wondered if they were building up to a Phil Mitchel style who dunnit and ken is getting bumped of tonight? That's total speculation from me though would William roache really manage to keep it quiet if he was leaving?

TheJunctionBaby · 27/03/2017 14:17

Urrgghh I came on just to gripe about how nasty, self righteous and hypocritical ken is being at the moment. I never thought I'd feel sorry for Tracey but he's being awful to her and amy.

I've always felt Daniel is a dark horse and could have an evil side so I wouldn't be surprised if he did bump off interfering ken for causing sinead to have an abortion

TheJunctionBaby · 27/03/2017 14:31

Oh and how ewwwww is Billy's new face rug Confused

AnneEyhtMeyer · 27/03/2017 20:21

Ken has always been horrible. Selfish, self-centred and bitter about his lot in life (which is entirely his own doing). He's not really had a personality change, it is just before he mainly confined his misery-making to Deirdre.

If any of them fancy bumping him off I'll help them dispose of the body.
