I've watched this weeks episodes in one go tonight, ds2 hasn't been well so I've recorded them, I'm very disappointed, I thought the week was going to be focused on Ashley, I was prepared for that, not bloody parties for Aaron and Sarah, and Rhona Vanessa and Peirce thrown in aswell, and as for Marlon talking to Ashely, you legged it with his wife for fuck sake, go away you idiot, talking about your first wife and how Ashley helped you through it, aaaaarrrrgghhh,

And of course Rebecca is pregnant, another who's the daddy storyline, fairplay to who called that happening earlier on, you were spot on.

FFS I'm pissed off

Emmerdale, you are so much better than this, stop chucking to many stories in for each episode

My problem with the Pierce/Rhona storyline is - that it isn't working, as the sympathy is for Vanessa. I'm past caring about Rhona - and that's wrong, because its her we should be concerned about.

Whenever Emmerdale have big storylines they get overshadowed by some tedious and long dawn out storyline.
When Jackson was in hospital in a critical state, they made it all about his miserable unwashed dad.
When Aaron was going through the abuse storyline, they brought in Liv and her dull antics to undo Robert.
When Robert and Aaron were getting married, they made it about Faith and her stepdaughter.
It's the one thing that really annoys me about Emmerdale.

I feel it's really lost its way at the moment. As others have said, instead of doing one or two big stories really well, they have loads of piddling little stories - mainly about characters we couldn't give two hoots about - going on at the same time.

I also thought that this week was all going to be about Ashley. Considering what a fantastic actor John Middleton is, I feel that he has just been allowed to fade away.

It's not the must-see programme it was not so long ago Sad

The baby storyline with Rebecca is weak - so predictable. Boring Victoria guessed Rebecca was pregnant because she threw up in the pub loos. I have to say when I worked in a pub a young woman throwing up in loos would not make me think she was pregnant.

What is the point of Adam and Victoria? - always been totally redundant.

I just feel there are so many pointless characters around at the moment.

Came on here to see the comments about Ashley and surprised that there are none, I was, as my DS would say, literally sobbing. So moving, but bloody Laurel leaving the room to go and get a sodding pillow when he was swimming in them! No one would have done that...but great acting all round really, took me a while to regain my composure Blush

It was moving at the end but I felt the entire episode should have been devoted to him and it would have been more emotional.

Same here southeastdweller, the whole episode should have been about Ashley and Laurel, no need to have any others in it, he's been in emmerdale for a long time and I feel he really didn't get the ending he deserved.

So unjust watched some clips on catch up. Why is Robert being so horrible to Rebecca? She didn't force him to cheat on his husband by sleeping with her. As far as I can see she did nothing wrong. He told her that him & Aaron were over. He was the married one. I have missed a few episodes but still think he needs to be careful, he has a lot more to lose than her.
Take your baby and run Rebecca run!

So gobsalot Victoria couldn't keep it shut, there's a surprise!!
I can't stand her and Adam, they really need to go, it's a pity ITV didn't leave him in the jungle, they are pointless.

Robert will never take responsibility for any of his wrong doings, its never his fault, he's got away with so much it's ridiculous, all we can expect now is more crying from Aaron, more self harming, and when his mother comes back more mouthiness from her.

I'm very disappointed with it the last couple of weeks, I think they really fecked up on Ashley's story, it should have been so much better.

I don't understand why the prison storyline was so rushed. One minute he's taking drugs and running drug errands for a vile bully, the next he's out n having a picnic :/ seemed like an unfinished storyline.

Just watched a clip of an upcoming episode and the actress playing Rebecca is barely trying. You can see even she isn't impressed with the storyline and Robert is proper hamming it up.

I am so disgusted with what Emmerdale has done to Robert. What the hell are they thinking? I've been watching since he was played by Christopher Smith so that's a long time. I actually feel sick at what they have done to his character. Just hate this story so much AngryAngry

So Emmerdale know that a lot of the soaps fans root for Aaron- they've seen him grow from a troubled teenager, to someone who cared deeply for Jackson, suffered abuse my his dad etc etc. so the fans want him to be with someone decent - but Robert has proved himself as anything but. He's a liar, a cheat, extremely selfish and as much as I am pro-choice I think he is terrible for making Rebecca feel like this is all her doing and she should abort the baby just so he can continue lying to Aaron. No way back for the character now. I think Ryan Hawley is amazing and the stupid storyline has ruined a good actor. Wonder how long he will last on the show now.
