Ooo, really?

Is it ghoulish to find the whole thalidomide disaster really interesting?

Those episodes were really well done. Some proper drama.

mogloveseggs · 09/02/2017 11:25

I find it interesting too. The interview with the lady on the case files programme was really interesting. I didn't know much about it before that.

ShelaghTurner · 09/02/2017 11:47

It's fascinating and a story that was long overdue to be retold. I know that the writer is very involved with the Thalidomide Society, it seems very close to her heart so I think it'll be looked at more.

PatsyMount · 09/02/2017 11:51

Thanks Shelagh

Lots of hand holding for Shelagh, I have been through the same thing. Sadly my baby died at 21 weeks but I have a feeling baby Turner will be fine coz-our Shelagh said so Wink

PatsyMount · 09/02/2017 11:52

Stay with us KingJoffrey I am finding the distaval history fascinating too Blush

ShelaghTurner · 09/02/2017 11:56

By the way Pats, now I've plied you with cake I need a bit of a word with you...about the Lego hair...

ShelaghTurner · 09/02/2017 11:58

Sorry to hear that Patsy Flowers I had a 12 week miscarriage and that was bad enough.

I'm in torment this week. I found last week's very upsetting and at one point decided I wasn't going to torment myself with next week's. We'll see.

KingJoffreysRestingCuntface · 09/02/2017 12:13

Has Patsy's hair been discussed?

Is that the real reason she was shipped to HK? Because her hair was distracting the viewers from the storyline?

ShelaghTurner · 09/02/2017 12:17

Well it's distracting me! And it must have given poor Deels a clonk on the head every time she went near her Grin

mogloveseggs · 09/02/2017 12:37

Is it a wig?

PatsyMount · 09/02/2017 12:56

Shock leave me alone - it took me AGES to cultivate that look! coke-cans were not invented in 1962 i guess

I haven't really gone to HK - i have gone back to Africa where they will use my wig hair as shade to cover the patients for when Trixie's protegees work their clinical magic using only a hairpin and an empty jar of Horlicks

Grin
PatsyMount · 09/02/2017 12:57

Actually that sounds rather painful Blush Shock

mogloveseggs · 09/02/2017 13:16

It does!

ppeatfruit · 09/02/2017 15:06

Ref. Patsy's hair. In the early 60s hairsprays were very popular (everyone's hair had to look like a helmet) Think Hairspray the movie, Patsy's needs more back combing if you ask me!!

Saucery · 12/02/2017 20:41

Right, proper snivelling now.

MrsJamin · 12/02/2017 20:42

Is no one watching this tonight?!

KenDoddsDadsDog · 12/02/2017 20:42

I'm watching 😭

MrsJamin · 12/02/2017 20:43

This episode is harrowing :(

KenDoddsDadsDog · 12/02/2017 20:43

I'm distracted by the handsomeness of the vicar .

Saucery · 12/02/2017 20:48

I held it together until the hankie bit.

CoolCarrie · 12/02/2017 20:49

Are they going to end up with a man as midwife? I hope so, it would be interesting to see how he would fit in.

CoolCarrie · 12/02/2017 20:51

The bar lady is going to join the group, good move.

BubbleWrapQueen · 12/02/2017 20:54

I'm watching.

When did the current benefit system become introduced? So single mothers could live alone and not beg steal and borrow?

iklboo · 12/02/2017 20:54

No male midwife - we didn't get them until the 1980s.

BubbleWrapQueen · 12/02/2017 20:55

First time I've had tears this season, at sherlagh hearing the heartbeat.
