DD1 got 3 C's in her science GCSE's. How long until she's a qualified doctor?

Sadly there are no openings for doctors, as Dr KK has the only position available.

However, with such qualifications your DD will be able to work at the University, whilst writing a column for the West Waratah Star, and doing the odd wedding ceremony in the gazebo by the lake.

However, as soon as she takes off her glasses and lets down her hair she will forget everything science has taught her and she will become a model.

She could be a nurse if she volunteers at the hospital for a week

Or she could become a legal assistant to Toady. I'm sure her scientific background will be vital when they bring a case against a large pharmaceutical company (part owned by Tim Collins) for polluting Lassiter's Lake.

Toadie's still in Neighbours?! And Dee's come back?! I must start watching Neighbours again after a 15 plus year break. Sounds like the last bastion of normality in a world gone mad.

That just made me remember when Amber and Daniel lived in a car. Wasn't that Matt being stubborn? Why does she like men that don't support their kids' love lives?

I find curious how invested the adults in Neighbours are in the teens' love lives. Surely in the real world your Brad would just always refer to Tyler as Tina or Tyra (he's got long hair like a girl see) and take him to the pub, give him a long hard stare, ostentatiously hand him a packet of condoms and say in a loud voice 'She's STILL AT SCHOOL be careful' in front of as many of his mates as possible. There might be a few throw away comments about not being mature enough for girls his own age...

I say this as the mother of precisely zero teenage girls, but I used to be one and gentle but persistent teasing was a lot better as a technique than rag losing and making them into some kind of suburban Romeo and Juliet.

Why didn't Terese take the envelope instead of standing there having a peruse? That's one of my tv/movie annoyances along with when they are about to tell someone something really important but let the other person speak first and then don't.

I thought they could only do the nuchal thing up until about 14 weeks? Is that just an NHS thing or a general baby thing?

When I had ds1 I only found out at 11 weeks so it was a big rush to get me booked in and scanned before the cut off time.

I'm still confused as to how far along Sonya is but if they stated it I probably missed it as I zone out a bit when she and Mark are talking.

Is the amnio magically going to tell us that the baby is Toady's?

I mean, in real life it wouldn't obviously but actual science is kind of redundant on Neighbours.

I was wondering that about the nuchal scan. Surely it has to be done by 13 weeks, but they wouldn't be able to tell the gender at that stage nor would Mark be able to feel flutters.

I wonder if Neighbours would be brave enough to have a long term character with a special need like Downs Syndrome and show the challenges of parenting a child with special needs. Probably not. More likely they'll get the all clear causing a 'moment' between Mark and Sonya.

Neighbours? Long term? It could just be a way to ship Mark off with babe swiftly to some relative who we've never heard of.

I was thinking it would be great if they did have a positive result for something but they will be magically cured or shipped off. Home and Away came close to touching on it with Phoebe but she miscarried

Yes, if they don't get the all clear Mark & "baby Kate" ew will go to a specialist hospital in Timbuktu. He may even insist on Sonya going there for the birth. She'll stay to recover/make sure the baby's ok but then suddenly she won't be coming back because she & Mark are so in love that she's forgotten she has other children & a husband. It'll be Georgia all over again. After a few months she'll reappear & Toadie will be in a relationship with "Dee" but he'll think Sonya wants to get back with him & will be all conflicted again. Sonya will actually just be back to collect Nell & despite being the world's best lawyer, Toadie will have a heartfelt conversation with Sonya & cry as he kisses Nell goodbye.

I've found my people. Love this thread! I think Steph is going to suddenly be pregnant (sleeping on the sofa at 8:30pm? totally pregnant) and Sonya' baby will actually be toadies and happiness will return to the house of trouser. Not Dee will bugger off and abandon Willow who, obviously, will move in with the Karl and Susan for a time then toadie and Sonya will adopt her.

Though I do wish they'd hurry up and tell Jack the prat that he's the father of Paige's baby getting bored with that now.
