New shinny thread here!

Janine was a brilliant villain. So odd how in EE they get actors like Janine, Phil, Ian, Shirley and then on the other end of the scale they get Lee, Johnny, Jack!

MrsJayy · 16/12/2016 19:48

I loved Jannine whoever wrote her lines was a genuis she was misunderstood not evil

MrsJayy · 16/12/2016 19:49

Im sure i heard Michael Moon muhaha once Grin he was like a panto villian

Kannet · 16/12/2016 20:19

What was with that extra in th church behind Stacey. She was just staring at the roof

Akire · 17/12/2016 01:03

I thought tonight's was wire good, but been very quiet here! Not sure what's up with Dot unless bragging her eyes are better only for them
To get worse? Who gets themselves to church presable in car yet dosnt off to take your step mum /elderly gran? I take it Dot can't see that great now? Though confused to why she was making Christingles with one lit??!

I loved the drunk santas, made me laugh. Though worried one point Martin would be sick all over Billy's suit before they got there. Not sure who was supposed to be babysitting the kids? stealing the tree was just ace ace ace. Though again thought Billy might be arrested for dunk driving. Can you be done if you are steering but drunk santas are pushing you??

didn't get Ian bad back, fine playing up if everyone can help but not when no one to help. Just very odd. Don't get why a stall holder would have to lift trees either? Presumable If you are thinking I know I buy a tree from the market- you are strong enough or close enough to carry it home yourself!

Getting worried about the play they do know it's 8 days to Christmas now? Not looking forward to Walking pants-lousie-becks love triangle drama. Enough already.

Janine is my favourite soap character of all time. Incredibly well written and multi dimensional. Her and Michael Moon were the dream team really.

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/12/2016 08:13

Haven't watched Friday yet but funeral payments are always made before funeral as otherwise people don't pay /put on sob stories to not pay afterwards etc - like billy is now finding

Was trying to read is cars /horses were £200 or £2000 / neither are relastic tho the coffin price was

Not sure why billy and honey are so poor. They both work and would get dla for daughter

Burgular looked like a girl

And yes why was ss bothered about Denny and only Louise /15

iknowimcoming · 17/12/2016 12:16

Was the burglar the drug dealer who Roxy was lurking near - she was very blonde?! Also Vincent was giving Roxy a look wasn't he? Perhaps he wants the matching pair of sisters as so many others have?sorry that's sounds so vulgar Blush

dingdongdigeridoo · 17/12/2016 12:48

Thanks for all the memories of Darius and Rik Waller. I looked up the latter and apparently he's an exam invigilator now and has lost the ability to sing. I remember feeling sorry for him because people called him fat Rik, but then he was on Celebrity Fit Club and acted like a tool. I honestly wonder why he got as far as he did. His voice wasn't great.

MrsJayy · 17/12/2016 13:17

Adam Woodyat son was in an accident in September (I think,) maybe this is why there is lack of Ian and the tree story was his iyswim. Just got Fridays to watch caught up last night Phil looks horrific really push the make up person to the edge they must have had to bulk buy yellow Grin the burglar was a girl so no clue who it was.

mrswhiplington · 17/12/2016 13:52

Just had to Google Michael Moon, remembered the name but not the face. Yes he and Janine were great together. They seemed to feed off each other. We need proper villains. Hopefully Max will inject some nastiness back into it. All we need then is Phil back on his feet, up to his old tricks.Grin

balence49 · 17/12/2016 14:24

So in the play, is Shakir going to have to kiss Louise?

Baylisiana · 17/12/2016 17:15

I don't see the point of Ronnie adopting Amy, it seems like it will just make her feel rejected by her mum but but for no reason, because it won't give her any added security. She already is part of the family she will be living with....Jack is her father and Ronnie is her auntie, not just her father's wife.

JustAnotherSimpleOldNumber · 17/12/2016 17:23

It's so boring right now.

Akire · 17/12/2016 17:23

I thought that too, even if Roxy plans on disappearing off the face of the earth for the next 10years. In time to reappear and buy Amy her first vodka shot.....Jack is her Dad so had full parental authority in event of anything plus Ronnie is her Aunty and therefore close family member/soon to be also her official legally wedded step-mum.

When's it going to end? So see Matthew he's what 18m he's your new mummy's son but your dad isn't going to adopt him as his dad may turn up or may or not be dead.

See Ricky oh yes he's your step brother no we not adopting him either his mum may or may not turn up at any time take him away.

But you Amy you will have a new mummy!!

Half brother/second cousin Grin

SoTheySentMeA · 18/12/2016 21:07

Why did Jay look so confused about the parole guy saying he couldnt live with Louise? Doesnt he know his parole conditions?

dingdongdigeridoo · 18/12/2016 22:46

Weren't social services involved when he lived at Billy's? So shouldn't be a surprise at all.

LineyReborn · 19/12/2016 20:34

The new writer seems to be channelling a lot of Misery Noir.

And just fuck off with the Lee's Loans story. No-one cares because he's more boring than paint drying.

nancy75 · 19/12/2016 20:38

Just seen Ollie walking, it was a very accomplished walk for a little person that hadn't taken one step earlier in the day!

NigellasGuest · 19/12/2016 20:40

What was the significance of the black car outside Dot's house? Random!

NigellasGuest · 19/12/2016 20:41

CAT!!

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 19/12/2016 20:41

Couldn't help laughing when they zoomed in on Ronnie's surprised/confused? face when Roxy made the adoption announcement. I think she's gone a teensy bit overboard on the botox because her face didn't really move at all Grin.

The Santa stag beards looked dangerously flammable. I hope no one lit up a fag.

ineedamoreadultieradult · 19/12/2016 20:58

Is she going to trip over it due to not being able to see properly?

southeastdweller · 19/12/2016 21:14

It finished less than an hour ago and all I can remember is some crap about stag do capers and the cheesy ending. If EE doesn't get it's act together over Christmas (six consecutive episodes from Thursday) I'm going to only watch occasional episodes from 2017, or give it up altogether after 32 years of watching.
