The last thread is almost full, so I thought we'd be prepared.

Despite the title I do love the Blackpool week really Fingers crossed for a nice ballroom dance from the pros.

No mention of Karen Hardy?
I would pick her over Anton but I am glad they are talking about people with actual considerable ballroom/ Latin experience. While I think Len can be overgenerous with the marks sometimes the show needs experts like him to elevate it above shows like Xfactor.

The Sun seems,to think thats a guy called Gary Edards is the favourites. He's British but has been involved with DWTS for years. He talks a lot about Strictly on his Twitter.

Oooh looks like he's a buddy of both Len and Bruno which surely gives him an advantage.

I wonder what Anton intends to so next year if he doesn't get it? He's clearly still able to fling himself about with abandon, but he'll be 51 and it's very time intensive for someone with infant twins at home.

No mention of Karen but apparently she is Head Judge for the Tour which a lot of people are seeing as her practice run for the big job.

I don't think they're looking for a replacement Head Judge, are they? I thought they'd lined up Craig for that?

No Darcey explicitly said that whoever the new Judge is will automatically be the Head Judge.

Do you mean Karen Hardy Cave ? No she wasn't mentioned by Darcey. If she's doing the tour maybe she doesn't want the commitment.

I don't think that Helen Richie at 71 is too old to be a judge , look at Mary Berry! They don't do very much dancing. She might not fancy settling in GB though!

Yeah I mean Karen Hardy. I know Darcey didn't mention her, I read an article a few months ago saying she was doing the Tour and that many insiders have assumed that it is her way of deciding if she wants the Big Job or not.

I didn't mean Helen Richey was "too" old per se, but she's lived in Oz for years (she lived in the UK for a long time previously). It's not like the US version where you can hop on a plane a do the commute for a few months, she'd have to move here for a good 3-4 months. Plus they run the risk of her only wanting to do a couple of years before retiring herself. I suspect someone in their 40s/50s would be better suited - old enough to have plenty of background experience and the time/energy.

Before Len got the job, Lorna Lee was in the running - former World Champ, highly respected teacher and competitive coach and very scary lady! She must be about the same age as Len/Helen.

I have a hunch it'll be Anton but I hope it's a woman because the panel should be balanced. Karen Hardy would be fun and did you notice she wasn't being untruthful about Claud and A.J.'s dance last week? I wonder why Len et al were ?

The weakest is Ed, obviously, so if he's in the DO he'll definitely go.

But if he gets a showy dance then he might get the public support, in which case I think Claudia vs Ore.

Or a top of the leaderboard shocker with someone like Louise in the DO.

If Ed doesn't go I think Rinder, though I know he's popular. I'm just meaning dance-wise (from my non-professinal viewer stance).

Judge Rinder has got my dm watching it (she never used to) . She doesn't vote but there must be a lot of afternoon viewers of the Judge Rinder show who are voting .

Oh I'd forgotten about Rinder. he might be in the DO too

If eD is inthe dance off he will definitely go.

Ed and Rinder will NOT be in the DO.

I am using the Power Of My Mind to keep them in until the final.
