Trailer of lots of people with angst and not Phil Collins here. There's another trailer on the Homeland FB page but I can't find a non-FB page to link to. 15th January in US so I reckon 22nd for us - it's usually a week later.

So - Salieri/Dar Adul features prominently and Carrie has some issues with him. Someone's having a torch shone on their pupils - does that mean Quinn's alive but non-responsive? Baby Brodie is now school-aged. Could I be more excited?

Your DH is right. The only thing we can believe with any certainty is that Saul is GOOD!

I'm glad other people are as confused as I am!

My take on the cigarettes is that diplomat went to the office straight after he left Saul. They're diddling poor wee granda Saul.

How did Dar adal get the bug on carrie's meeting with PE? I assumed PE was in on the it with Dar?

Bursts from lurkdom* to observe that:

  1. We saw Bernard put the almost full cigarette pack back in his jacket as he left so the empty pack Saul found must be a different one. I have no theories as to the significance of this.
  1. Quinn's facial hair must go. Also, it surely takes more time and trouble to cultivate those wispy bits than to either shave properly or just go unshaven.

I've only worked out two things: Dar would have no problem bugging the table with PElect and Carrie, as the cafe is obviously one of his old hideouts, whether it truly belongs to one of his family or not

Did anyone else think Dar was looking a bit "less capable"/un confident when talking to the PE? Maybe it was an act to appear humble and playing dumb but I thought he looked a bit nervy. PE is going to be hung out to dry I fear.

Phew just caught up with the series, and this thread.

My thoughts.

  1. Quinn is hot, Sarin brain damaged and all. They will reward us with a shower scene for our loyalty. But yeah I think he has a phobia because of the gassing. And he now has a purpose in protecting carrie from the guys across the street, so he will get his hotness back.
  1. Saul is good because his name is Inigo Montoya (you killed my father, prepare to die)
  1. Why the hell was Frannie alone in the house?!
  1. I keep thinking MPE is the sister from Roseanne. She isn't, is she?

Channel 4 says it will broadcast it on Sunday at 9pm, but that's before it's shown in the US, surely.

There wasn't one on the 5th, according to Wikipedia. The fourth episode is on the 12th.

Ooh that's odd. No episode last Sunday in the US - Superbowl, I spoke - but we still have Ep 4 scheduled in UK for Sunday.

I sort of hope it isn't on as I foolishly lost all sense of priorities - I'll be visiting a DS at Uni and said I'd take him out for a meal Sunday night. What was I thinking? Damn those pesky familial obligations.

There's no point emailing Channel4 Noel as he is clearly of the opinion I don't have the necessary security clearance.

According to the Guardian TV Guide (obviously I had to find DH's reading glasses first because it is a font so small that only fairies can focus on it) it is on. So we'll be in sync with the US? That pleases me.
