I've seen an advert that says it returns in November, anyone know what date?

Really looking forward to its return! Anyone else?

Re there are no spoilers
See Minnie's and Mickies comment about the plaster on his shoulder

meridithssister · 26/11/2016 21:45

The plaster was in the preview for episode 2 on directly after episode 1, so isn't a spoiler.

jardy · 26/11/2016 21:50

Ok thanks Meri. I didn't see that .Sorry- misunderstanding .( and I shall avoid any previews!)

diddl · 27/11/2016 09:42

When Noah confessed, did he know that Alison was there?

Also, the ending of Ep one, is did seem to follow after the dinner party, didn't it?

When he was talking to his sister explaining why he was taking tablets (at his dad's funeral), did he still have his beard?

It doesn't make sense to me that he would have a place of his own & move out to live with his sister.

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/11/2016 13:36

Maybe he couldn't afford the place on his own anymore ?

winterisnigh · 27/11/2016 14:06

marking place binge watching it at the moment love it

diddl · 27/11/2016 15:09

Sorry, my post wasn't clear.

Does Noah know that Alison pushed Scotty?

If not, she must be pretty pissed off at him taking the rap for Helen!

The timeline of him getting injured at the end of Ep 1.

I think that it was after the dinner party, but was musing on whether or not his shaving his beard was a clue as to when it happened.

Also he was in his own place when it happened which also makes me think that it was after the dinner party as (imo) it makes no sense for him to leave that place to live with his sister.

Had the swanky place with Alison already gone to pay off debts?

Were they only renting?

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/11/2016 15:57

Yes he knew and sure R.E.M. ALison saying she pushed him

Yet at that time we didn't know that HELEN was driving and he was in the car so knew all the time

Am tempted to watch s1 again now we know HELEN aliens and him involved

The only one who seemed not to to know anything honesty was jj/Cole

TheNorthRemembers · 27/11/2016 19:06

Cole, please come back. Noah is always the most boring.

BoxingHelena · 28/11/2016 16:13

really odd, I understand what is going on from pre title recap and also because we could see it coming but I am pretty sure certain "truths" were not revealed during the episodes

don't like Josha so sorted and cleaned up
he needs to get back to his booze days Grin

Bertucci · 28/11/2016 21:09

I watched ep 2 last night. It was a bit boring.

EachandEveryone · 28/11/2016 21:25

We haven't watched it yet will come back when it's been on

EverySongbirdSays · 28/11/2016 23:31

I've watched now.

Literally everyone on this is a terrible human being except Cole aren't they?

Why is Alison even deigning to speak to Oscar when EVERYONE knows he's a piece of shit?

EnthusiasmDisturbed · 29/11/2016 09:11

I felt sorry for both Helen and Alison

Helen can't let go of Noah

Alison is still feeling guilty over her sons death and it is impacting her ability to parent i thought it was really really sad

AndYourBirdCanSing · 29/11/2016 09:20

Yes I agree Disturbed.

I actually really like Helen but I can totally see how Alison has ended up where she is

EverySongbirdSays · 29/11/2016 12:23

Yes but aside from his Affair,

Whitney and Martin think Noah is the worst for something HELEN did, that's why she can't let go.

SeasonalVag · 29/11/2016 13:32

I'm really not enjoying this so far, it should have stopped at end of season 2. Anybody else?

BoxingHelena · 29/11/2016 15:24

Why is Alison even deigning to speak to Oscar when EVERYONE knows he's a piece of shit?

I thought the same, I think just a cinematic device for feeding us some details about what Alison has been up too

they seem to have sacked lots of characters, bring back Alison Mum FFS

EnthusiasmDisturbed · 29/11/2016 18:50

I really liked Alison's mum and Helen's parents they add to the story Helen's mum is a great character

plus i have a crush on John Doman since watching The Wire

Powergower · 29/11/2016 22:19

So I hope it's ok to discuss the aired uk episodes without anyone throwing a fit??

Hated e1. So boring and bloody noah almost shagging another woman. His character is vile. It was drawn out and no Cole!! I think this episode was setting foundations for the theme of abuse to run through this series. There's definitely something in noahs past relating to his father and also abuse in prison.

As for e2, well I loved it. Loved Helen and her nuanced acting. The sex scene was a bit unrealistic and I was appalled that she proceeded to make the kids sarnies without washing hands after shagging episode!!! Loved seeing Cole and he obviously still has feelings for Alison but wtf is he wearing a cardigan??!! That was unsettling. I was thinking Helen looks so much younger and prettier in this series. I wonder if she's had work done or if series 2 deliberately made her look terrible. The scenes at Whitney's house were funny. Noah was a complete shit to imply to Helen that he was in prison because of her, when he's actually doing it for Alison too.

Anyway, can't wait for next week. It's got none of the characteristics I loved from series 1 but I'm still invested in the characters enough to want to know what happens next.

IhatchedaSnorlax · 30/11/2016 00:29

I agree Power, I thought it was a great episode too!

MistresssIggi · 30/11/2016 06:56

I was pleased with the ending or I would have had to go to bed in tears!

diddl · 30/11/2016 09:25

I feel sorry for Alison re losing her son, but when she was talking to Oscar, it just seemed like a convenient excuse that the daughter had reached the same age so she couldn't cope & pissed off.

And to expect to just walk in & take her back!!

"when he's actually doing it for Alison too. "

I did wonder if he knew that Alison was there.

It made more sense to me that Alison's "breakdown" was due to Noah taking the rap for Helen.

IhatchedaSnorlax · 30/11/2016 10:32

I agree diddl but think she went along with the suggestion re age as she couldn't obviously tell him the truth.

BoxingHelena · 30/11/2016 12:12

yes it is a bit disjoined at the moment
not sure there was the need to also jump around back and forth with the time line while maintaining the "point of view / separate characters"

gosh yes Noah is so predictable, also how cliche the liberal french woman....bit disappointed there ( no teacher would risk that much with their students about, com on, its not the 60s)
