I've seen an advert that says it returns in November, anyone know what date?

Really looking forward to its return! Anyone else?

"In this episode cole's recollection seems the less reliable"

I did wonder.

Otherwise it means that Alison forgot that she picked up Joanie after she fell off the horseHmm

She's feeling persecuted/judged-but to the extent of forgetting that??

But then Cole seems to se himself as her knight in shining armour who then would have argued with Luisa about something that didn't happen!!

What a load of bollocks!

PannusAngelicus · 14/12/2016 11:59

That's what Scottie was trying to blackmail her about....it was on the cctv footage where he implies it and she doesn't deny. When they were sitting outside the pub

Dozer · 14/12/2016 12:03

Scotty was blackmailing her about joanie being cole's

PannusAngelicus · 14/12/2016 12:06

Ahhh....Ok.....God, it's entrenched in my head, I've believed that for months

Yes scottie was blackmailing her because he knew she slept with Cole. He turned up the night she was with Cole.

I just hope it's not going to be a repeat of series 1 with Alison flitting between Cole and noah. We've had that before. Plus series 2 was both Alison and noah having affairs so it's beginning to stretch the initial premise. I think they should sack off noah and Just focus on Helen Cole and Alison.

NickNacks · 14/12/2016 18:23

Also in the final scene(s), Cole was much more aggressive and sweary and the kiss was rougher in his recollection. In Alison's he was quieter, more gentle.

Search : 'The Affair : I Can't Be Seen With You'

EnthusiasmDisturbed · 18/12/2016 12:27

its back on form

I knew Cole still loved Alison but I don't think she loves him in the same way :(

The anxiety Alison feels is really well acted found it very moving

But she is pulled towards hurting herself and this hurts others and will end up back with Noah and losing joint custody of her daughter

I shall be watching tomorrow to think I had almost given up on the series

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/12/2016 15:32

Anyone seen no 5? Sky always records 3am ish rather then tonight

Hello, can I join the thread?

Have binged watched all of the seasons in the last week, and I think I may have seen the latest one so won't talk about that one yet.

Joannie definitely isn't Scotties but how do they know she definitely isn't Noah's?

I also like Luisa, she's the only one who appears to have her head screwed on straight.

Also, Brendan Fraser has definitely, erm, 'changed' his look, hasn't he? Confused

TheNorthRemembers · 19/12/2016 18:47

TheHiphop Didn't Noah and Alison separate a little bit and that was when she got pregnant? Noah was a berk and Alison felt lonely. Or was it when Helen insisted that the children can only visit Noah in a house where he lives alone? Did that actually happen or was it just suggested? My memory is gone.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 19/12/2016 19:05

BF is just years older now I think.

I just at watched it. I found Alison extremely irritating.

galaxygirl45 · 19/12/2016 19:11

Oooh I'm so excited there's a thread on this. I have adored this series, it's so well written and acted. I've tried many US dramas but few really grab my attention. It's been a slow burn this season but last week's episode restored my faith completely. I'm still a little bewildered by Alison even finding Noah remotely attractive, there's something about him that really makes my heckles rise but then perhaps that is the intent? Cole is beyond gorgeous - I can't wait to see where this season is heading now Noah has found Alison again.

TheHiphopopotamus · 19/12/2016 19:21

Or was it when Helen insisted that the children can only visit Noah in a house where he lives alone

That definitely happened Grin But I always thought they were still shagging even though they weren't living together.

I dunno, I just can't work out how she's so sure she's Coles unless Joannie looks like Gabriel? Scottie seemed a hundred percent certain too, even though Cole & Alison only did it the once as far as I'm aware.

Also don't understand why the Lockhearts are now so friendly with the ginger guy and why he's so friendly with them. I think I would maybe like to see an episode through his eyes, just the once.

BoxingHelena · 19/12/2016 20:38

TheHiphopopotamus that would be very funny actually. A part titled " The Ginger Lobster guy"
He is the only character left in Montauk - he must have been kept in for some plot devise.
They are friendly because that is the all point of being natives, they know each other inside out, fight and make up, united against the holiday makers

I ve watched Ep 5
Waiting for other poster comments.

There was a paternity test wasn't there? The lawyers did it, though I don't think they revealed the results. I didn't notice that about the car. Duh.

EnthusiasmDisturbed · 20/12/2016 09:12

I'm confused

I thought Alison knew that Helen was driving the car

Now it seems she doesn't

Interesting that she said to Noah it's as though you wanted to go to prison

Noah appeared to act like a man going through a midlife crises last night and overly excited by having a younger girlfriend no wonder Alison found him irritating

Yes Alison warned him about those pills so they seemed to be making a deal of them.

NotPennysBoat · 20/12/2016 11:21

Was anyone else yelling at the tv "don't do it Alison!"? Noah is such a slimebag, Team Cole here!

EverySongbirdSays · 20/12/2016 11:49

There WAS a test and the result was revealed.

Toby Ziegler from the West Wing told Noah Joannie wasn't his and he was like "Duh, I know" much to everyone's surprise.

What I thought was weird was :

Noah's version, they come across as a pair of damaged, but sympathetic people who've found each other

Alison's version - a pair of narcissitic sociopaths

Is that somehow to due to how they view themselves

Alison "I'm a terrible person"

Noah "I'm misunderstood"

TheNorthRemembers · 20/12/2016 17:11

NotPennysBoat I was shouting "Don't do it!!!", too.
