I've seen an advert that says it returns in November, anyone know what date?

Really looking forward to its return! Anyone else?

No,she really is drippyGrin

Powergower · 08/12/2016 08:26

Yes Frenchie should be noahs type but he likes them typing going by his shagfests of the last 2 series. I'm baffled as to why he went to Frenchie's house after his attack. He only met her a day ago, surely he'd go to his sisters, helens or his own flat. Also he looks a bit silly with jet black hair in series 3. He's late 40/ early 50s and didn't have to dye his hair in previous series. There's no way he'd come out of a 2 year prison spell without any greys! He looked more his age in series 1/2.

Powergower · 08/12/2016 08:26

*likes them young

Dozer · 08/12/2016 08:33

It seems implied that he was somehow abused in jail.

I find Helen far more drippy, mooning over noah, than Alison.

OreoHeaven · 08/12/2016 12:13

She was fantastic in Luther.

I thought French woman was well cast. Felt the shagging in the kitchen by the student was all unnecessary.

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/12/2016 01:00

Bit confused as usual 😬😬

How did Noah get into the more gentle prison? Was this after his beating up /bruised face and helen moved him?

Wtf over the dinner party. Boring

We find Gunther is a bully after acting the nice guard to Noah

Alison is his wife when in prison. Pic on wall that guard steals

Yet when Noah finally out he isn't with alison and starts a snog /affair with French woman - who I couldn't understand and had subtitles on

So goes to dinner party and then stabbed in neck. Do we know if it was the guard or Noah getting revenge on him for what he did to him in prison?

And yes why go to her house and not his sisters /ex wife 1 helen and ex wife 2 alison

somewhereinaforest · 10/12/2016 16:33

Is it just me presuming Noah was raped in jail by the prison guard, who incidentally is creepy and vile. Isnt it Brendon Fraser from 'The Mummy'?

somewhereinaforest · 10/12/2016 16:34

*he not it

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 10/12/2016 22:04

I thought it was BF too. Didn't pick up on the rape thing though.

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/12/2016 23:30

What happened 😢 He was sexy

I had to look up who played the (rather irritating) French professor and was amazed to discover that it's Irène Jacob, star of The Double Life of Véronique and Three Colours: Red. Didn't recognise her at all though I've seen those films and enjoyed them, albeit a long time ago. She was a big name in arty European film circles in the 90’s.

EachandEveryone · 11/12/2016 12:04

I read an interview with DW the other day. I'm sure he's very nice and everything but I got the impression he's not far from Noah when it comes to women.

NotPennysBoat · 11/12/2016 20:47

OMG that is NOT Brendan Fraser?!? Time has not been kind to him Shock!

DiegeticMuch · 12/12/2016 14:03

Just waxhed the latest ep with Cole and Alison's viewpoints and I really enjoyed it. It's returned to its early style/level. Cole's wife is well written and acted. If the sublime Helen had been in it, it would have been perfect!

I'm hoping we've seen the last of the pretentious dinner parties and the student-shagging professor.

BoxingHelena · 12/12/2016 14:11

Me too just watched !
I agree, much better...... more The Affair we know and I must admit I am a big fan of that location

The 3 years jump is kind of odd and doesn't make any sense from narrative point of view so far... I mean as a writers choice to narrative events this way but I guess its similar to season one as in we know something must have happened (scott dying) but not who when how

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/12/2016 14:31

Found this weeks a tad boring sorry tho the view points of horse and alison's and Cole are opposites again

Tho who is the true one .::::::

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 12/12/2016 16:16

Watching now, will report back in a bit!

EachandEveryone · 12/12/2016 17:13

Can we wait u til tonight?!!!!! I
At work only watch it our time.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 12/12/2016 17:29

That was best episode yet ime, loved it.

OneInAMillionYou · 12/12/2016 19:15

Agree with everyone, that was a much better episode, true to 'The Affair' storyline build up in previous series. Any ep with that much Cole in it, is a winner with me 😍

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/12/2016 19:18

its shown at 3am thats when mine records, so i am on uk time

PannusAngelicus · 12/12/2016 20:47

Blimey, am pleased to hear it gets better, at the moment im thoroughly disillusioned

MrsJW15 · 12/12/2016 22:09

Really enjoyed tonight's episode (we watched the first three back to back over the weekend and actually enjoyed those too). I love the two perspectives thing and spotting how they remember things differently. Not sure I like Luisa though. And Alison and Cole - well, there's a surprise.

Dozer · 12/12/2016 23:10

Enjoyed this one, and love the location too. Luisa was too unlikeable, would be better if she was less of a caricature.

I don't understand why Cole is furious with Alison for seeking help with her mental health for 6 months, when in crisis, yet has apparently forgiven or forgotten that she lied to him about Joanie's paternity, meaning he had no relationship with her for two years.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 12/12/2016 23:19

That kiss! Blush
