Yeah. Like you'd let some randomer with no ID in to talk to your recently returned daughter.

MillieMoodle · 19/10/2016 21:11

Ooh Julien doesn't think it's Alice either I don't think

MeDented · 19/10/2016 21:16

Ooh he thinks Alice is Sophie!

WipsGlitter · 19/10/2016 21:16

I thought the photo looked like Julien too!

MillieMoodle · 19/10/2016 21:18

I think Alice is Sophie, it's the finger tapping thing.

And maybe it was Sam's baby?

WipsGlitter · 19/10/2016 21:19

What was Sam's baby?

MillieMoodle · 19/10/2016 21:24

Eve said to Sam in the hotel something about he didn't want her to talk about the baby. In ep 1 she was heavily pregnant and now no sign of baby.

AnnieNoMouse · 19/10/2016 21:27

Yellow, again … and another yellow scarf

AnnieNoMouse · 19/10/2016 21:30

Why would Alice pretend to be Sohie? or vice versa

Bubblebloodypop · 19/10/2016 21:32

It's all getting a bit creepy now.

Leslieknope45 · 19/10/2016 21:34

I wanted him to ask her something in French and catch her off guard.

ThePortlyPinUp · 19/10/2016 21:37

The butcher looks like the photo fit and his wife is the funeral/supermarket woman from last week.

Glastonbury · 19/10/2016 21:37

Butcher man looks like the photofit.

Glastonbury · 19/10/2016 22:00

It looks like it could be Eve's dad. This just gets more confusing.

Cherry321 · 19/10/2016 22:04

So Eves dad needed her to identify the butcher, but clearly knows her..... I'm confused Confused

MillieMoodle · 19/10/2016 22:05

Maybe daniel's dad found "Alice" and released her? But then realised the brigadier (Eve's dad) was involved and couldn't live with the guilt of knowing but couldn't report either?

Eve's dad was talking about Henry (daniel's dad) when they were in the nursing home.

Why doesn't "Alice" tell the truth? What has she been told to say? And by whom?

Unless the brigadier did stuff to Alice before she was abducted?

What did Matthew do that almost lost the dad his job?

Can't wait for next week!

AnnieNoMouse · 19/10/2016 22:05

The parable - "Alice' is the turtle, the 2 birds carrying her are Sam and Gemma, so not really her parents but looking after her (so she is Sophie) - if she opens her mouth and talks she will be destroyed?
This is very confusing and scary.

ThePortlyPinUp · 19/10/2016 22:11

I thought he was insinuating that if she talks it will be revealed that she is Sophie hence losing the new home etc.

readysetbake · 19/10/2016 22:26

Me and DH have decided that if "Alice" did have a baby it was probably the brigadier's baby. But it was the Butcher who kept/abducted the girls, hence why the brigadier wanted to protect him.

Henry Reed possibly found out and was killed to be kept quiet?

The only person Alice told was Matthew which is why he shouted at the butchers wife in the car park and has gone off the rails.

fully expecting to be proved wrong on all theories next week...

HarryPottersMagicWand · 19/10/2016 22:30

I thought the 2 birds carrying her are the ones who possibly helped her escape, the brigadier perhaps and he's basically telling her to keep quiet. The way he spoke to her and said she wasn't a little girl, he knows her. Maybe he has got her to say she's Alice for whatever reason and 'Alice' is struggling with it and he knows that.

Think the shed could be where she dies, the dad tries to save her, the brother feels guilty because he locked her in. Henry is dead so 'Alice' will die in the next week (not necessarily net episode but the next week in their time).

Daffodil1210 · 19/10/2016 22:32

I think I'm most traumatised by the fact that the Brigadier is the narrator on Sarah & Duck (CBeebies) - I knew I recognised his voice...

Cherry321 · 19/10/2016 22:36

Daffodil - thats hilarious! Knew l recognised his voice!

HateSummer · 19/10/2016 22:56

Omgoodness, I knew I'd heard that voice before. Sarah and duck!

I have no theories. I'm just enjoying watching it and swooning over David Morrisey.

Although I do think the real Alice is dead and this girl is taking her place. Long shot but Could the plastic surgeon be involved in anything?

Dancergirl · 19/10/2016 23:37

'Alice' (ie really Sophie) doesn't necessarily die does she? We only know the real Alice is dead.

WipsGlitter · 20/10/2016 07:21

Paedophile ring? Brigadier, butcher and guy who "killed" himself all involved.

Or had the brigadier done something to Alice that caused her to go off the rails, start bunking off school and end up abducted. He needed to talk to her to make sure she didn't reveal but he still thinks she's Alice.
