For those who loved it last time, will you watch after the let down of the ending? (Well I felt it was a let down, don't think there was a proper conclusion at all and still room for doubts as to whether he was still alive or not).

I loved it though and will definitely be watching the next series. I've seen the trailer and it looks very very good. Julian (think that was his name) is still in it. Looks like it is based on JayCee Dugard/Elizabeth Fritz type cases where they have gone missing as children and reappeared years later.

The Whisterblower (young man at funeral's dad) was sent to a worn torn, extremely dangerous y area on purpose - as a legit way of getting rid of him and therefore silencing him.
There was a bomb explosion, in which some soldiers were killed, one was burnt beyond recognition).
The person Jean Paul (young man's dad?) swapped identities with the badly burned, unrecognizable solder, resulting in the wrong soldier being buried.
(could also tie in with 'alice's dad's burns somehow).

The person Julian has gone looking for (young man's dad?) possibly swapped identities with the badly burned, unrecognizable solder, resulting in the wrong soldier being buried. It will have stopped the paedos looking for him.
(could also tie in with 'alice's dad's burns somehow) also the fact there is a headstone for Alice.

There's the wrong body in one of those coffins, possibly even both.

I really don't have the brain capacity on this sleep deprivation but I feel like there might be something there to do with the pregnant woman and the family.... going back to before the disappearance?

Anyone clock on to batiste saying to 'alice'. "I'm very sorry for what happened to your mother". .....in there words. She's really Sophie and hes sorry her mum killed herself?

He was saying to Alice about Sophie's mum and said about what happened to her, he was trying to get a reaction out of her to see if she would ask more questions. Obviously it wouldn't mean anything to Alice but it would to Sophie. She wouldn't have even known that her mum had died, unless it had been in the papers and the captors showed her. But given she is in Germany not France that's probably unlikely.

It's probably a double bluff. They are making us think she is Sophie, the mum and Baptiste spend all this time and effort working it out and it turns out it was Alice all along. Maybe.

I don't think it's Sophie. It's too early so a red herring. I also wondered whether Brig (can't believe he's Sarah and duck man, going to keep quacking through tomorrow's episode) may have been abusing his daughter and it's his child she's carrying.

Maybe Brig isn't a paedophile but sourced Alice to the abductor somehow due to some form of debt that occurred in Iraq?
