Loving your analysis woof! Grin
Do you think viewers that haven't seen series 1 are enjoying more as a story in its own right? As apposed to having seen series 1 and having the expectation that the story is going to follow on?

SoEverybodyDance · 30/09/2016 09:16

Elvis' poor qualities have not been redeemed by her families even poorer qualities. Frankly I think she needs to twirl her middle finger at Dr Bland, her family, AND Elvis and go off on a long tour.

cjwoofwoof · 30/09/2016 09:25

The dramatic dramatisation of the drama goes without saying nick but the pull of Elvis's plumptious and positively edible top lip unfortunately makes for complete disinterest in GLs yawn fest wedding dilemma and the totally unbelievable terrorist threat scenario a slight wandering of concentration on what is actually going on. That and the mystery surrounding CJs apparent penchant for various hues of taupe outfits when not on duty keeps me on the edge of my seat.

I guess the answer's yes mads but this series is a pile of poo the jury's well and truly out for me in comparison to S1. Maybe to improve things I'd like to see Elvis forced to wear his leg strap and scarf/sunglasses, noisily sucking piña colada through a straw whilst pouting suggestively and sitting legs akimbo on a high stool during the terrorist crisis in the Arndale Centre, just to add to the drama obvs Grin

Ilovelblue · 30/09/2016 12:20

Ladies, has anyone been eagle-eyed enough to work out the make of car Elvis was driving in episode 4? The shot where he is ringing Georgie from the car and asking her to meet him in the Polish cafe. I can't quite make out the emblem on the steering wheel.

Nickel45 · 30/09/2016 12:33

Did you mean only wearing a leg strap and scarf/glasses woof?

ilove looked like a Ford emblem to me, but he keeps sticking his arm in the way and it's out of focus, so not definite!

Ilovelblue · 30/09/2016 12:38

Yes, I suspected it was a Ford but couldn't tell for sure.

Ilovelblue · 30/09/2016 12:39

Had thought he'd go for something more flash such as a BMW or Audi. Maybe it's for when he's trying to be incognito.

MaddieMoo82 · 30/09/2016 12:58

Maybe it's a pool car from Whitehall Grin cutbacks and all that!!

cjwoofwoof · 30/09/2016 13:11

OF COURSE only wearing the leg strap and scarf/glasses Nick - trousers would defeat the object of legs akimbo obvs Grin. At a push I'll allow the balaclava but only down to nose level to expose the divine philtrum/mouth 'O' shape/straw sucking or he may dribble the said pina colada and have to be licked vigorously towelled down.

cjwoofwoof · 30/09/2016 13:20

Ooh just spotted this whilst idly googling philtrum porn:

Afternoon ladies - apparently we're all up in arms about not seeing CJ and Molly's wedding woof although given all the wedding action in this series I'm not too fussed. I'd rather have just seen the two of them together at some point.

I am about to say something very contentious here. Lovely as their being married s and the happy ending that everyone ultimately wanted for CJ and Molly, I honesty don't think that they would have married so quickly if it was a real life scenario. She's only supposed to be about 20 in series 1, still developing her career etc and I can't imagine after just getting divorced that CJ would be in a hurry to get married again especially when Molly's so young. I reckon they would have given it three or four years at least and it's only supposed to be two years later. Is there any good military reason for getting married - postings etc that would make it advantageous to be married - anyone in the know about these things?

Afternoon all!
I don't feel cheated at all about the wedding of CJ and MD (we would of only picked holes in it!) but I would of liked CJ to have more content/lines. So far he only seems to be re assuring GL. Sometimes I feel TG has just added him in for our benefit only. However Elvis is certainly doing it for me. Never ever better than CJ but a close second. Does anyone watch Made In Chelsea??? He does look like Ollie Locke!!

Drinking wine in London today with a friend, feeling happy and giddy, and have a fab weekend to look forward to. A MN meet up. Yippeeee.

pixieg1rl · 30/09/2016 14:46

I'm with you on that rhu and rich. They may have married to ensure that the army considered their relationship in terms of postings and accommodation (in so far as the army do; I would expect some recognition of cohabiting relationships). And equally I don't want to see the wedding, but I put that down to me not really having any interest in weddings.

Given that CJ is Georgie's CO it's probably fitting that he doesn't talk much about his relationship. The guys teasing him and the smile when he said 'my wife' gave me enough to be happy. I would really like some insight into how he changed his mind about resigning though. I think that's interesting.

Enjoy the wine Richtea!

Rhubarb01 · 30/09/2016 14:51

The only thing I would like to have seen rich is the meeting of the Dawes and James families. I think that could have been hysterical/awkward/cringe-inducing and embarrassing or perhaps we are underestimating both sets of parents - not that we ever learned anything about CJ's family apart from the fact that they like Lake Garda and mither-on a bit ooh and Mummy James likes to pop pills!

Rhubarb01 · 30/09/2016 15:15

I'm just thinking about your comments rich that CJ had been placed in this series for our benefit and thinking that really his character has bridged the gap between the two series as it brought all the old fans over whilst MK has introduced all the new fans. You would have thought there would be another series but....this is the BBC we're talking about and anything could happen plus what would that look like? I can't imagine CJ doing another stint somehow and if MK's too busy?

I'm looking forward to seeing Georgie's Nan again in the last episode and sincerely hoping she's the voice of sense and reason who will talk Georgie into doing what SHE wants irrespective of what that happens to be. (There was a link in that story woof posted to another story about how fans are apparently 'furious' that she has chosen Dr Jamie, really? It's got to be Elvis or no one and that literally does mean No One)

Ditto rhu and rich weddings schmeddings who cares? I'm glad TG has kept them together but their story I think is now told/over. S3 will either be more GL or another separate Our Girl, if indeed the series continues at all.

Personally I'd give Luca's lips their own talk show and forget the rest, but I suppose that's lecherous, shallow and objectifying on my part never going to happen

MaddieMoo82 · 30/09/2016 16:15

Enjoy rich Smile sounds like a lovely weekend planned.

Some have seen this but just adding for a bit of Friday afternoon pleasure Wink

I swear the word 'obtuse' was invented for teenagers! Just had a really annoying half hour with eldest after taking her out to get some things that she needed. We discussed the fact we needed to go out last weekend and I reminded her several times this week. Needless to say as soon as we went out she claimed she didn't know why we were going, I hadn't explained, behaved in generally 'obtuse' manner and refused to co-operate. I'm not one for making scenes in public but I was as close to a stand-up row as I've ever been and the end result was stalking around in a heavy, meaningful silence and returning within thirty minutes so that she could stomp off to her room for a sulk! Arrghh! Angry

I need some soothing, caring, compassionate words of advice from CJ!
