2 years ago a thread on Our Girl was started with these words ^Anyone watching this drivel?
although slightly enjoyed the family dynamics going on last night, unfortunately DD's favourite programme and in fact Guardian seems to recommend it^

I thought there was a bit of a limp jen but only after he'd run half way cross the town square with no limp. Maybe it was just too confusing to try and work out which leg to limp on Grin

Are you a tad disappointed woof in the lack of Elvis naked? But not in the lack of CJ naked? Or haven't I got to that bit yet?

I thought it was ok, at the moment though I don't think it's anywhere near as good as series 1 (yet) and I'm really missing LT, I do like that they are mentioning Molly though. I'm also confused by timelines.

My theory that she got jilted on her wedding day was right. I'm now wondering though if there was more to it than him just changing his mind, he seemed too loved up.

yes I enjoyed it, but honestly?... I miss the complex character of Molly Dawes, the baggage she carried and her flaws... perhaps that's a reflection of how good an actress Lacey Turner is... so far Georgie Laine seems too perfect, too complete, too dull by comparison... hopefully she'll develop over the series.

love the 2section banter, fingers was hilarious, poor Mansfield looks a goner though

CJ's being Mr Nice at the moment... hopefully he'll lose his cool next week...

I also believe the headset now has its own agent - far too big and cumbersome and getting in the way. They weren't like that before were they? Even the fluffy helmet was too bouffant. Wtf has happened?Confused

My theory is a sudden special forces op took him away and it was secret. He's obviously going to turn up as part of the SF contingent to get her out..

I get what you mean dance, by the time we had last series we had a couple of hours of Molly's back story. But I think this one is going to be just as interesting because we're going to see what happens to Georgie after this ordeal (or that's what I'm guessing), which I hope will be just as great a struggle to move on from the past.

A tad nick , a tad? It's a blimmin outrage, that's what it is. And don't get me started on why we didn't see CJ taking a shower/ draped in just his name tags/marching in his boxers - it's absurd that TG didn't find somewhere in the script to write those scenes in. Obvs I need to have a word...

woof - god knows. There's probably going to be some further outlandish artistic licence - perhaps he's been on a two year op...Imbedded inside Al-shabaab perhaps having only had less than a day's notice he was going?! In fact, as I write that, I'm concerned it may actually be that!

I'm with you pixie. Did we automatically think at the beginning of the previous series what a complex character etc etc etc Molly Dawes was? I hadn't watched the pilot till a while after the whole series finished so the first couple of episodes I just watched as a story without questioning any of it too much. Call me shallow .....

Well I enjoyed it but I think I'm also biding my time a little waiting to get hooked - obviously we've all invested a lot of time and thought into the CJ and Molly scenario but CJ was on form with all his trademark CJism's so thanks TG Grin

I'm with you ladies on the possibility that Elvis' disappearance wasn't necessarily as heartless as it seemed - I'm guessing even CJ doesn't know why he went. It's also kind of obvious that he has to reappear somewhere in the rescue scenario - remember the trailer when he is seen looking at the profile and photo of Georgie?

CJ does seem a bit more like 'seen it and done it all before' and I think he was more relaxed with Two Section but then they've been a unit longer now. Yes, wondered why he hadn't been promoted although he wouldn't be leading two section I guess if he were higher ranked and what if the 'Bridge' incident was a bit of a blot on his copy book? Perhaps we'll find out more.

As for timeline I'm also wondering if the wedding was prior to Afghan. Two years later might only be 12 months after the tour in Afghan with Molly?
