2 years ago a thread on Our Girl was started with these words ^Anyone watching this drivel?
although slightly enjoyed the family dynamics going on last night, unfortunately DD's favourite programme and in fact Guardian seems to recommend it^

Hmm I'm sorry but I'm not 100% by TGs side so far. My criticisms are:-

Not enough of Elvis's body on show in opening scene;
CJ has defo had some work on his teeth - I said so in Fleabag and I say so again - where's that lisp come from? Confused
Not enough of Elvis's body on show in opening scene;
CJs hair too long #guineapigmark2;
Georgie plastered in make-up when forces do not allow any when on duty, although good to see her nails were short and unpainted;
Not enough of Elvis's body on show in opening scene;
Why would she change into scrubs aboard ambulance ffs - she's in a war zone and surely would need to keep vest on...unless script needs baddies to not know she's British army;
Not enough of Elvis's body on show in opening scene;
Why did it take six of them to remove maggot-boys tooth when the camp is teeming with thousands of people panicking over Kiki's kidnap and requiring medical attention pronto. Don't believe CJ would have time to meander in and out of the hospital, he'd be busy with logistics of sorting out the camp.
And finally...Not enough of Elvis's body on show in opening scene;
I appreciate its Ep1 but it's a 5/10 from me Simon

Thanks Dallas. I wasn't quite sure what was going on. Obviously at the start it was the night before her wedding so she was at home but then it just looked as if she was still at home when packing her stuff - I suppose time could have elapsed and she'd gone home to get her stuff before leaving but it is set in Manchester - oh well you have to have some dramatic licence.

When Is it set??? Lanes non-wedding was 2 years before and CJ had 5 medals and no limp.... I'm confused!!

Maddie I expected there would have been some explanation as to how he is back in uniform when the last we heard, he was going to resign his commission. However, if you'd not watched the first series in such minute detail as we have then you wouldn't even know, would you?

In the TV Times, it said CJ and Molly were now married, but it didn't mention this in the programme, just that they were obviously an item.

I enjoyed, and will absolutely keep watching it, but at the moment it's not quite living up to series 1. She's good but nowhere near as good as LT acting wise or Molly character wise. CJ is however, if possible, even more hot than he was... I was also on the constant lookout for a wedding ring. I still hold out hope Molly is going to appear in a cameo at some point.

One thing that really got me is how much makeup MK is wearing - this just seems so unrealistic and so annoyingly unnecessary!

Also how is CJ still a Captain?? If he's as good as he's made out to be he definitely should have promoted to Major by now based on timelines and his rough age.

CJ is still hot as, and 2 section still have the banter - 2 definite plus points.

Is it possible he could have recovered...?! I have no idea what the prospects are for full, no limp recovery after being shot in the leg. Probably would have been more unrealistic for him to be on an op with a limp!

As CJ was running across Manchester in his No1s 2 years ago I did remark to MrP that Headley Court had done a bloody good job on his leg.

But it's been at least two years since her non-wedding? Or - and I've only just thought of this - perhaps they crossed over timeline wise. Perhaps the non-wedding was before series 1 in the timeline. Who knows. Lots of artistic licence!
