although slightly enjoyed the family dynamics going on last night, unfortunately DD's favourite programme and in fact Guardian seems to recommend it^

Ditto to loup and bel comments - Sugartits is way too polished for the role and I'm finding no sympathy with her other than being heartbroken by Elvis which is extremely understandable.

Also on the Sugartits script mention, do you think TG also followed our discussions on Milk Tray Man and applied it to Elvis shimmying up Georgies drainpipes? And have I mentioned I was outraged at the poor lighting not showing enough of Elvis's gorgeous bod? Well I was and I still am Angry

woof putting Elvis aside for a moment, I have to agree with you that I wondered if TG had followed our chat on here about Milk Tray man/Elvis shinning up the drainpipe! Certainly wouldn't object to him climbing up my drainpipe.

Well in that case if TG is following the thread, I'm banking on naked fireside wrestling in Ep 2 between CJ, Elvis and Fingers, followed by a very long cream tea in Ep 3.

Funny you ladies mentioning Milk Tray, I was thinking when it started that the opening sequence very much reminded me of an ad. Apologies I haven't read all 38 threads but I'm clearly in good company Smile. Was half expecting Elvis to deposit a box on the bed though I'm sure GL wasn't disappointed in the slightest with what he did deposit!

I also watched some of the previous series last night and couldn't help compare. At the moment, I can't see this series bettering it or even coming close to being on a par. LT was such a natural in the role. Her character was only 18/19 at the time I believe and therefore more removed from her actual age than Michelle Keegan's I guess but she nailed it. She got the vulnerability and inexperience spot on. At the moment MK doesn't seem as comfortable in her role. CJ and Molly's chemistry was amazing. I've never been so emotionally invested in routing for a fictitious couple before and I'm not sure I'm going to feel the same about Elvis and Georgie. Still it's early days and I'm happy to be proved wrong. There are obviously lots of 'visual' benefits to keep watching and I'm also holding out for a cameo from LT even if it's after the final credits.

Oh yes Ali the fireside wrestling was due to commence two years ago at the MN OG Appreciation AGM but unfortunately the bout itinerary could never be finished as new competitors were constantly added to the list. It was rigged, however, that CJ was going to win the final. Cream teas not necessarily involving the dairy variety of topping were also high on the agenda, plus many a party was planned aboard swivel chairs. These were all ideas input and actively encouraged by others as I was only ever interested in the characterisation method acting of the dramatic drama of OG as you know Wink

Happy to move my mud pit to Mooj's allotment as long as iLove brings a few sponge puddings to throw at Woofy, that will really get her going... If she volunteers some squashy tomatoes too we could throw them in from the side?

Whilst I enjoyed the first episode I wasn't blown away. I think the beauty of the last series was the whole package - the characters, plot, scenery and for me the soundtrack was a huge part of my enjoyment. I still listen to it now. I didn't even notice the soundtrack this time apart from one track near the beginning when Elvis left.

Think I might gonna need iloves sponge puddings after all Dancey - I've heard they're very dry and there's going to be a lot of moisture to soak up in that mud pit so they'll come in useful.

And he can have as much of a hair obsession as he likes Dancey as long as it's draped all over my cushions Grin
