Thanks to everyone on the last thread for explaining the sailing medals.

emotionsecho · 15/08/2016 13:05

Just checking in, I'm looking forward to the Dressage.

What a night, well done Murray and Del Potro a stunning match, and the ever wonderful Usain Bolt.

Dapplegrey2 · 15/08/2016 15:35

Go Carl and Nip Tuck!

Fedupofallthemud · 15/08/2016 16:00

Where is the equestrian being shown?? Can't find it on bbc 1 or 4

Curlgurl · 15/08/2016 16:24

Can't wait for Charlotte! Blueberry is apparently being retired so this could be his last big test

emotionsecho · 15/08/2016 16:51

I wouldn't have a clue whether that was enough or not but I thought it was excellent.

Oh yes!

TrionicLettuce · 15/08/2016 16:52

Pretty sure I didn't breathe at all during that test and what a score!!!

CaveMum · 15/08/2016 16:55

Go Charlotte and Valegro! That's a massive score!

Curlgurl · 15/08/2016 16:55

Crying at my desk. Beautiful perfection. She has to get gold

DesolateWaist · 15/08/2016 16:58

I'm watching the synchronised swimming here. Is it wrong that I find it hysterical?

I feel bad because they have trained so hard and are so talented but seriously.

Go Charlotte and Blueberry!!!!
Oooh er, it's got a bit dusty around here, my eyes are watering.......

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 15/08/2016 17:03

Nobody been watching the athletics this afternoon? Sophie Hutchon got a bronze medal in the hammer throw. She seems a lovely young woman, very pleased for her.

Also, Jack Green qualified for the 400m hurdles semifinal. Very pleased about this because (a) he trains at our local athletics club and (b) he's had serious problems with depression which he's been very open about - good to see more openness about mental health problems and that he's been able to come back from the depths.

DesolateWaist · 15/08/2016 17:04

I can't find any athletics on.
I'm watching via iplayer.

Sophie Hutchon got a bronze medal in the hammer throw. She seems a lovely young woman, very pleased for her She was fab and so genuinely surprised by the result. Glad she beat a drugs cheat.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 15/08/2016 17:26

It's over now until the early hours. It was on BBC1.

DesolateWaist · 15/08/2016 17:34

Another Gold!!

Charlotte is a brilliant rider, but nonetheless, if Valegro is now retired it's going to be hard for her to find another horse like him.
Anyway, well done the pair of them. Superb performance.

emotionsecho · 15/08/2016 18:04

Excellent gold for Charlotte and Valegro.

I loved Sophie Hutchon getting the Bronze she just couldn't stop smiling it is one of my favourite moments, plus her coach coming over all emotional was lovely. Also glad the drugs cheat won nothing. I also whooped at the winner who broke the world record.

Curlgurl · 15/08/2016 18:15

Charlottes got another horse called Florentina, beautiful grey mare, who I think is meant to be very promising

Dolly80 · 15/08/2016 19:34

I'm totally in love with the Team GB men's badminton doubles. Beat a pair ranked much higher than them and were interviewed by the BBC. One of them said, 'I'm not the best player but I work hard' followed by 'I'm up for a medal' Fantastic!

BestIsWest · 15/08/2016 19:38

Ah, found you.

BeJayKayven · 15/08/2016 19:56

What ages are the female gymnasts? Strange little under-grown creatures with older faces Confused

CaveMum · 15/08/2016 20:06

The gymnasts vary in age, some are teenagers and I think they said there was a 41-year-old competing too.

derxa · 15/08/2016 20:11

What ages are the female gymnasts? Strange little under-grown creatures with older faces I agree. I feel terrible in finding them repulsive.

DoitotmeSheldon · 15/08/2016 20:15

So chuffed for Sophie Hutchion and the men's badminton team showed true spirit, I love that attitude " I'm not the best player but I work hard" watching the gymnastics, I've always loved the beam , such a demonstration of skill and bravery, I find it mesmerizing
