My first point of discussion is that after watching DC start to finish around 10 times I have only just (this time round) realised that Dawson knew about Pacey and Joey before Jen accidentally told him. When she said about Pacey telling him he said "Its something about him and Joey isnt it?" So he knew! Deep down he already knew.

Also, Andi has to be the most annoying character ever created. Open your mouth when you talk!

I absolutely loved Dawson's Creek. I still watch it now (aged 30+). I loved Pacey and loved the relationship between Jack and Jen.

Love a bit of DC. Andie was the worst character...along with Dawson's parents.

Dawson's parents were terrible!! Mitch was not a nice guy imo!

I'm 30 too and I watch DC maybe once a year. Have done since my sister gave me her box set about 8 years ago. When DC was originally on TV i only watched seasons 1 and 2 so I had no idea about pacey and joey and university and Jen dying. That was a shocker! I still cry every time.

The episode with Jen dying was horrible. I actually liked Dawson's parents though!

The video jen makes for her daughter is a heartbreaker. How anyone could stay dry eyed during that is beyond me.

Ooo, I bought the box set but never got round to watching it.

Friend of mine used to play "Drink Along With Dawson" where you had a shot every time they used a word you had to look up in the dictionary. Improved our vocabulary dramatically (and ruined our livers )

I watch it from start to finish every time Sony TV decide to repeat it.

Imo Dawson is the worst character. I can't stand him. Joey and pacey all the way.
Except that I actually loved him with Audrey and her character was awsome. (If you don't watch Cougar Town you really have to - Busy Phillips is fab in it)

You know what though, jen didnt actually have that much sex in the show. She had sex with the teen with the mansion in season 2 (i think) and then nothing again until she was at university and met Charlie (chad michael murray) and after that it was Dawson and then CJ and that was it! Pacey had sex with his teacher, andi, joey and then several other unnamed women who left his boat in the mornings presumably after one night stands, he slept with his colleague in the restaurant, almost slept with a prostitute before he realised she was a prositute and had planned to sleep with the woman he met at a work function before he got locked in the walmart with joey. Dawson cheated on his girlfriend natasha when he had his one night stand with joey! The show alluded to jack having some one night stands sneaking out of his room in gram's house in the morning. Out of them all I would say Jen probably had the least sex in the whole show!

Mitch had the best death though - death by driving with giant ice-cream.

I hated the audrey character. And I think its because of Busy philips. I have never seen her in anything else so I cant compare but her portrayal of audrey put me off watching her in anything else. Guarantee the terrible writing of that part didnt help her either.

I think she did most of her sex before she arrived in capeside. Although she was only 15 at that point so that's all kinds of wrong.

Ooo, I loved this, I was similar in age to the characters when it started.
However, I did watch it recently and Dawson just pissed me off immensely... He was so whiney! I just wanted to say 'ffs, stop whinging, people have real problems in the world'
Also, I realised that Pacey's teacher was probably only a little older than I am now, so it feels all kinds of wrong that I still have the hots for him

Pacey's teacher was just a big perve! It was so wrong. I remember at the time (i was 13!) thinking how awful it was that she would even go there. I stupidly thought she was going to get caught and prosecuted.

Love Dawson's Creek! I hated the university years when it turned into the Joey Show though.

I've had the theme tune stuck in my head for weeks for no apparent reason, so I am glad there is at least a thread about it now!

I hated the uni years too. There were two English characters, the woman had the worst accent I've ever heard. SO jarring and awful.

I really liked Andi Apparently she was about 28 at the time - very typical of US teen shows!

Did they change the theme tune at some point? I was always very annoyed by Joey because she talked out of the corner of her mouth and the episode where she sang - possibly in a talent show?! Was the worst episode I saw. I stopped watching during the college years as D and J got too tedious, even more tedious than Ross and Rachel! Both DC and Friends were must see tv during my teen years!
