My first point of discussion is that after watching DC start to finish around 10 times I have only just (this time round) realised that Dawson knew about Pacey and Joey before Jen accidentally told him. When she said about Pacey telling him he said "Its something about him and Joey isnt it?" So he knew! Deep down he already knew.

Also, Andi has to be the most annoying character ever created. Open your mouth when you talk!

Oh that has reminded me of one of (imo) the funniest parts of the show. In season 1 they have a "breakfast club" episode where they are alm in detention in the library. Someone mentions the actual breakfast club film and asks what ever happened to the actors and Pacey says that Emilio Estevez was in that film about the ducks and how it was such a great film. Joshua Jackson was in that film

Stars James Van der Beek as himself and it's brilliant. They axed it after the 1st or possibly 2nd series though

I lost it with DC when one of them asked Jen if she wanted a 'post retroactive birthday celebration' because they'd missed having a party for her 17th or something..... argh what teenagers speak this way..?!!

That's the whole point! No teenagers speak that way. DS was the furthest from reality tv show I've ever watched. That's what makes it so great

It was changed due to licensing.
The video they watch before Jen dies where it's the titles from the first season with Alanis Morrisette over was what they wanted but because no one expected it to be as good as it was they couldn't get the rights to use it.
A lot of the songs were changed depending on the country it was shown in as well

I love how in the "5 years later" epsiode when Dawson is the producer of 'creek days' they talk about using "walk the dog" instead of masturbating. Thats what they called it way back in episode one when joey and dawson were talking about it.

I loved this programme. I might watch it again if I get any time to myself during the summer school holidays.

I'm still not at peace with the change in theme tune. The only one i knew was the "i dont wanna wait" one and then when I watched the boxset and from season 2 theyve changed it to the other "heart is in my hands one" which i hate! It still catches me by surprise every time.

Looks like I'm the only Dawson fan on the thread then (so far)? Although I disagree with a pp in that I don't think JVDB has improved with age. Soz James.

The soundtrack was amazing. Does anyone else have the album (first one obvs)? I still have it on cassette and it takes me right back to my carefree late teens. In fact I only lost touch with the show because I went travelling. But my trusty soundtrack tape came with me!

Favourite track was Feels Like Home. I was a Dawson/Joey fan. A Doey fan in today's common parlance?

I bought the two soundtrack CDs just a couple of weeks ago after years of forgetting to get them. There seem to be quite a few songs from the show that arent on either CD.

Loved DC but really didn't like the last two seasons. I felt it lost its way when they left high school and lots of random characters who didn't make sense were introduced.

Dawson was the most irritating character ever and I often wanted to punch him in the face. So sanctimonious and goddam boring. The episode at the end of Season 3 when Joey chose Pacey instead of him made my heart sing.

JJ is single now??! Finally I can stop glaring in a jealous rage at pictures of him with that Kruger woman in the Daily Fail sidebar
