Reminsent of the following Super 8, ET, American Horror Story, Twin Peaks.

Seventies/Eighties Nostalgia mixed with Paranormal

Just want to talk about it now. I've put Spoilers in the thread title just in case there ends up being some and people get aereated

Oh someone could have warned me about Eleven and the sad bits with Hoppers daughter

I really enjoyed this series. I watched it all in one day as I never expected to like it as much. I thought Winona Ryder was very good,mand the child actors were just so well matched to their characters.

Nearly all the Netflix originals are high quality (obviously avoid anything involving Adam Sandler)

But :

Jessica Jones, Bloodline, OITNB, and House Of Cards are as good as anything you'll get anywhere inc. BBC and US channels.

Their other content can be hit/miss but I'd keep it for their original content at this point.

I'm wondering, from some of those final shots, whether the Sheriff has been 'brought in' now Jason

Watched the final two episodes last night. It was very good. Enough resolved and enough left open.

I think he probably has Every.

I love the fact that apart from Winona Rider I don't recognise any of the actors.

I loved it too... trying to find something to replace it and now getting into Hemlock High - also on Netflix.

Was Hopper leaving food for Eleven to get from the Upside Down?

I thought the tentacle thing they took from Will's mouth was so like a bit in Alien/Aliens. When he spat the wormy thing at the end does this mean he has some of the monster in him now?

I was very impressed with all the actors, thought Hopper was excellent. And Steve attacking the monster was class.

TheEagle: That's what I thought he was doing. I was really hoping that Hopper would go and spend Christmas with Winona Ryder and family at the end.

Yes the horrible slug tentacle thing at the end I think means that Will will end up being pulled back to Upside Down. There is another series after all.

Watched 4, watching more tonight. DS is at my folks' tonight so we're having a bottle of wine and getting through the rest some more.

Daredevil on Netflix is very good. Vincent D'Onfronio is spellbinding.

Winona Ryder looks wonderfully haggard and......rough, if you know what I mean. Like a real small town mom in pain.

I binge watched it over two days. Really enjoyed it and loved the 80s American vibe!

There's a strange story been told via reddit posts that talks about mk-ultra, experiments on children and flesh portals. I read the story so far a couple of months ago and apparently it's finished now so I'm going to see if I can find it.

I've just finished it elae , it's very freaky. I really like the concept too but I'm too lazy to scour reddit looking for posts so I'm glad someone collated them! It's interesting when the same ideas pop up in different things at the same time, hope mother's not behind it!

Finished it last night and I loved it.

I love it! I intended to watch the first episode last night, and ended up watching the whole thing and going to bed at 3am...

Binge watched all 8 episodes in one day... Loved the 80's movie references, the soundtrack, 11, Joyce, Hopper - in fact the whole cast.
