Ok, so who is the baby daddy?

OP posts:
HirplesWithHaggis · 15/07/2016 21:12

He had a knife, but I must admit my first thought was, "Ooh, death by champagne bottle, that's novel!" Blush

blueandgreendots · 15/07/2016 21:16

It was good until a) the ambulance took 5 hours to arrive and b) they didn't take her to hospital, just declared her dead in the street - that would never happen! I can suspend my disbelief only so far!

Still shed a little tear though...

ButteredToastAndStrawberryJam · 15/07/2016 21:16

Made me cry that did. David explained it very well to the kids I thought.

thenightsky · 15/07/2016 21:22

Wow.

pointlessperson · 15/07/2016 21:25

Hope the actors involve win an award that was very well played by David and Kylie!

eddiemairswife · 15/07/2016 21:26

I also thought it was death by champagne bottle until the 2nd episode. I agree that the Street was unnaturally quiet, apart from some unknown characters standing around.

amysmummy12345 · 15/07/2016 21:38

Crying my eyes up at that!! DPS acting was so touching... I was just trying to explain to DH, is not so much crying for the characters, I find myself imagining being in that situation, leaving kids behind unexpectedly...

unimagmative13 · 15/07/2016 21:44

I'm sobbing then DH says he cried at bit at the radio this morning because of a death of a child same age as ours. Que be crying more than ever in my life. To which DH replies must be your period Hmm

NickNacks · 15/07/2016 21:56

David said 'thanks mum' Sad

He usually calls her Gail

OutOfAces · 15/07/2016 21:56

What time of day was this meant to be? They were faffing about getting Roy and calling the slowest ever ambulance when there's a medical centre at the end of the street!

youngestisapsycho · 15/07/2016 22:19

It was actually 8 minutes till the ambulance arrived, thought that was quite quick?!

youngestisapsycho · 15/07/2016 22:20

And she was pronounced dead at 15:57 I think?

youngestisapsycho · 15/07/2016 22:21

Or 17:57?

SaggyNaggy · 15/07/2016 22:25

I can't believe you're all saying how good Davids "Noooooo" was. Gf and I were in stitches at it. What a silly soap cliché.
Grin

Dying on the wet cobbles of the street in the arms of her husband just as the sirens are heard.... If their jumped straight in a car and headed to hospital instead of waiting for the ambulance shed have been OK.

Woodhill · 15/07/2016 22:30

Where was Nick?

pennygoodlife · 15/07/2016 22:58

Floods of tears from this house tonight, great actors! I wonder if he'll turn wicked or be dad of the century now?

BlackDoglet · 15/07/2016 23:13

Wicked David will be back!

ellenanora5 · 16/07/2016 00:05

Oh dear, I tuned back in tonight to see how kylie died, very predictable, David's nooooooo was dreadful, and Chesney telling Gemma while she's lying on the ground injured that kylie is dead was ridiculous, has he no filter at all, "I ran home to Skype Joseph, oh I should have stayed" or words to that effect, only in soapland are you able to leave your job and go home to Skype someone, and now Craig has to go through the same shite he went through when he knew Carl had burnt the rovers down.......he'll blame himself, if the actor had any sense he'd dump Corrie now, he'd be great in so many other things, as will Paula Lane, best wishes to her and can't wait to see her in a different role.

HirplesWithHaggis · 16/07/2016 00:15

I'm fairly sure it was 17.57. Did anyone else notice that the breathing tube inserted by the paramedics vanished after David had been told her body was a crime scene and shouldn't be disturbed? I didn't see anyone remove it, fairly sure it shouldn't have been - but of course she made a much more beautiful corpse without it.

Redglitter · 16/07/2016 00:38

I didn't think the ambulance took long at all. Unlike most soap things they played it out in real time so the ambulance was really there in less than 10 mins. I think it just seemed longer because we're used to 10 soap mins being 3 hours in the story Smile

TowerRavenSeven · 16/07/2016 04:58

I just thought Kylie was very wordy for being on the brink of death! When she said, "Hi Gail!" I thought you are kidding right?! But I thought the actor that plays David did a great job.

ProfYaffle · 16/07/2016 06:58

Saggy - me too! We were in stitches at Kylie's weird fake gasping and then David's skyward 'Noooooo'. I thought it was cliched and awful. And a stabbing seemed a bit pedestrian after it was billed as such a unique way to go. I was expecting a Dumb Ways to Die type ending.

Lifeisbeautiful2 · 16/07/2016 07:37

I thought it was well done, but where was Norris? He usually has his nose in everything Grin

absolutelynotfabulous · 16/07/2016 08:29

I thought it was daft. Why were the streets empty when they're normally full of people? Why was Kylie jabbering on? Did she have to die just as the sirens were heard?

Nah. It was too much like a "proper" drama; and this is supposed to be soap.. Mind you, we'd moan about it however it was done...

YorkieDorkie · 16/07/2016 08:33

Hirples I was also convinced at "death by champagne bottle" Grin but on a serious note I was bawling Blush I blame the new mummy hormones.
