DS1 asked why last episode is on on a Monday. Told him the Olympics start the following Saturday so we'd either be waiting until September or October, or it'd be on at 2.37am on BBC3 in a few weeks.

Trev did look good didn't he? And I noticed that TB/Athos does have very lovely eyes.

Aramis was totally FAF

My over-riding memory of that ep is the mountain of AraFaf. I couldn't pick holes in the plot even if I wanted because my brain fried

So pleased to see Milady back - agree the chemistry between her & Athos is the best. Not sure how the writers can end this without them together unless one of them is dead

I think Sylvie should realise that she should devote her life to the cause and don't have time for a love life. And Milady could do something heroic so Athos realises that she is the only one!

Agree Athos should be heading off for more adventures in the final episode with a (slightly) reformed Milady not wet as a dishcloth Sylvie. Sylvie would make a good nun, maybe she hears her calling in the next episode.
Sadly I agree with those who think Milady dies heroically and Athos has a life of do gooding drudgery ahead of him.

Why does the BBC only want heroes to end up with virtuous smug women? Both Sylvie and D'Artagnan's wench are cast in that mould. They also made Guinevere in Merlin far more wet and smug than the Guinevere of legend. Women have to be either good or bad and the good ones have to be poor.

I was so happy to see Milady back. Her and Trev were awesome together.

I'd rather they bought Ninon back for Athos... Her episode was 'A Rebellious Woman' after all. She could have been a worthy match to take Miladys place... And created some interesting loops back to previous storylines.

I get the feeling Sylvie is meant to be strong and feisty and bold and brave - but I just don't think that is how she is being played.

Ninon would have been a much better match for Athos than Sylvie if they really needed to replace Milady. Sylvie seems to be a badly written combination of Constance (feisty) and Ninon (rebellious).
