I'm quite enjoying Coronation St at the minute - glad Sharif has gone but wish the rest would too (although I like Rana). Not bothered by Anna & hope Phelan gets his comeuppance soon!

Not sure what was going on with Rana thought one stage she was already married because she kept pulling faces when people mentioned family met up , or hiding when saw people. Were her parents at the party? Some new faves but missed if they were he parents or not.

Her parents were there which I think makes it totally unbelievable that the gran would have announced the affair like that - bad enough to ruin your grandsons engagement party but to do it when you're meeting the future in laws for the first time is a step too far to be believable.

Yes I agree - there is no way the granny would have ruined Zeedan's engagement like that. Also, Rana's parents just disappeared after the announcement of the affair and then the cutback in the next episode - perhaps it was edited to speed things along with Sharif's departure.

I watched a repeat of the episode with the party. The gran was tipped over the edge by Sharif playing Lord Bountiful with the necklace and stole her thunder, and that's what make her blurt it out. Still not very likely though.

Billy's been missing all through the latest Platt dramas, when not so long ago he was popping up every time Sarah set foot out the house.

I don't know why Zeedan thinks it's his responsibility to pay the £14K back to Dev - surely he'd just tell Dev to go after Aliya for it, as it was her Sharif gave it to, and part of what caused the family breakdown

A lot of them seem to have disappeared recently. Sean, Billy, Todd, and until recently, Eileen and phelan. Must have all been on holiday or something because it seems like a really long time since we've seen some of them.

So, Dev part owns a gym. Fully owns a shop he has had for many years, a kebab shop and rental flats and his own 2 up 2 down and he can't get a credit line or release some equity ? I don't believe it!
Agree the Liverpool one that Aliya since she got the money is the one who should be targetted for repayment - they could sell the machine (that came with no tutorial package!)

Yes, the Eileen deafness was a complete non-event.

Caz plot is so stupid, a low rate version of Gone Girl. Can't see what the new producer had done at all, except when they did a music montage over the after-effects of when Anna's polyester trousers caught on fire.

Phelans fond glances at Eileen are making me feel a bit ill.

It was definitely a low point when the scriptwriters decided "Eileen has her ears syringed" was worthy of inclusion!

Yes probably a hasty rewrite. I bet the Corrie scriptwriters were pretty pissed off that they had to do that again after the ones they had with Ken and Kevin
