I'm very very excited too - but really nervous because so often a break in play causes the momentum to swing. Really hope Querry has managed to stay in the right mindset.

JuanPotatoTwo · 02/07/2016 11:59

You can't flounce muddled or the way to Pot will be clear for me. On second thoughts, perhaps you flouncing will be the best thing ...

Lots of talk about Djok's heart not being in it for some reason, and of him not looking well. I know I'm the lone voice of support here (almost!) but I hope he's ok.

Did anyone see any of that documentary that was on this morning before it switched to Wimbledon live? I remember watching Boris win for the first time in my bedroom! (Win Wimbledon that is, not win anything in my bedroom )

mogloveseggs · 02/07/2016 11:59

GrouchyKiwi what a beautiful baby! I feel quite broody now Grin

mogloveseggs · 02/07/2016 12:03

Juan I'm not his biggest fan but I hope he's OK too. I just feel that it's time for someone else to have a go. It gets boring after a while when the same people win. Same with Serena I hoped shed be ousted yesterday.

mogloveseggs · 02/07/2016 12:05

Not sure who the ladies playing then are but it looked like it was going to be a battle!

SpaceUnicorn · 02/07/2016 12:23

Oh Querry, get your head back in the right place :(

trixymalixy · 02/07/2016 12:26

Gah, looks like Djokovic has come out fighting today. Go querrey!!

CremeEggThief · 02/07/2016 12:27

Right, an awful start from Sam, but maybe this rain break will swing the momentum back in his favour...

MischiefManagedAlways · 02/07/2016 12:46

I fear that Djokovic will win this somehow Sad but as CremeEggThief optimistically states, maybe the rain break came just in time...

JuanPotatoTwo · 02/07/2016 13:01

Well normal service seems to have been resumed for Djok. I'm usually with you on the domination by the same players mog but I am ridiculously biased have a sneaky soft spot for Djok.

However my main man is Pot and I'm so pleased to see him back. They have him on Court 12 today and I don't think it's being shown on the red button - unless anyone can tell me differently?

GrouchyKiwi · 02/07/2016 13:07

Do they always do this on Centre Court?

I too hope there isn't anything wrong with Djokovic, just that he's having a bad match. Although obvs he came out fighting today. I hope Querrey can find his form again.

Thank you for the compliments about my littlest one. She makes us very happy.

mogloveseggs · 02/07/2016 13:11

Not sure GrouchyKiwi but it's making me a little emotional. I cry at the drop of a hat anyway though.

sunnydayinmay · 02/07/2016 13:13

Just turned on to see the crowd applauding - who was she?

JuanPotatoTwo · 02/07/2016 13:21

If you mean the elderly lady in pink sunny she was one of the few female fighter pilots in ww2. Joy someone - didn't catch her surname properly.

I don't know when they initiated this Grouchy - it's been quite a while though. Didn't happen when I went there many many several years ago.

GrouchyKiwi · 02/07/2016 13:23

Joy Lofthouse, I think. So impressive.

Thanks, Juan. I've never managed to catch the beginning of a Centre Court day before now.

mogloveseggs · 02/07/2016 13:23

Joy Lofthouse according to Google

mogloveseggs · 02/07/2016 13:24

Cross post Blush

sunnydayinmay · 02/07/2016 13:26

Ah, thank you! I knew Mumsnet would know.Wink

LIZS · 02/07/2016 13:29

Anyone going to try for tickets for tomorrow?

GrouchyKiwi · 02/07/2016 13:32

This looks like it will be a good match. I like both of them, so am supporting Bertens as she's Dutch.

CremeEggThief · 02/07/2016 13:56

It is good, so far. As I said earlier, the quality of the women's game is improving at last. I like David Mercer as a commentator too, although you don't hear much of him these days. The champions' parade on a Saturday has been going a good few years now.

I'd love to try for Wimbledon tickets tomorrow, but I'm a tad too far away, in Durham.

Goingtobeawesome · 02/07/2016 13:58

Is it just the ladies playing? I can only find tennis on two tv channels and both are showing the same match.

JaneJeffer · 02/07/2016 14:34

Will the Djokovich match get finished?

Cliff is there...

trixymalixy · 02/07/2016 14:37

Damn! Djok has won the 3rd set.

GrouchyKiwi · 02/07/2016 14:38

Djokovic has taken the third set, though Querrey won three games after the break. I'm hopeful this means he'll do well in the next set.

Kiki started so well and then just crumbled. Good win for Halep.
