Morning all I hate to say it but is anyone l finding wimby a bit flat this year? Just finding it hard to get invested in the matches, and the only, two I really want to do well (potato and Stan) are playing each other!

I'm a bit 'meh' because Rafa's missing, but I generally find the first week a bit slow: there's always a few shock exits and a few exciting 'stories', but for me the competition doesn't really kick off until the second week.

I know what you mean about feeling a bit flat. But I am very flat anyhow after last week & I reckon today will get me right back into the spirit.

Much as I am a Murray fan I am so sick of all the "isn't he amazing" type comments. Had he come out as slowly as he did against Lu yesterday & it had been Djok things would have been very different.

I've not been to Wimbledon but I have been to Queen's and I would say it is just a tad bit more formal than jeans. Most of the men looked identical. It was very funny. They were all wearing checked open necked shirts, linen sports jackets, chinos, no socks and plimsolls. But having said that Wimby are certainly not going to kick you out for wearing jeans so you could just go for comfort.

Outside courts rained off AGAIN!!

Only time I went was for the Olympics. Definitely not formal, if you look at to coverage, everyone is just in whatever's comfy (and rainproof)

I would go for jeans and a nice top and some comfy flats or Converse, especially as the weather is so rainy this year. Whatever you decide, don't forget your rain coat AND umbrella!.
