I thought that was great. Really tense the whole way through. My cheering bit was when the Stark Wolf went back up over Winterfell. Good end for Ramsey. I was hoping Sansa would finish him off! I thought she would get the remaining Direwolves to do it.
I'd forgotten about Sansa's animosity towards Jon because he was a bastard. Maybe she will try and depose him. Especially if the 'young Ned' visions by Bran turn out to be that Jon's father isn't Ned. He wouldn't have a claim at all. I thoght we'd have a Stark reunion at Winterfell, as Arya is also making her way back. Poor Rickon- it was hardly worth that boy turning up on the set Grin. Although it was very dramatic. It allowed Jon that moment to completely lose control of all his battle plans and act out of pure rage. Also, it proved Sansa right, that he didn't know Ramsay or how sadistic he was until that moment. Brilliant. I cant wait until next week, but then its going to be a long wait until the next series Sad

ConkersDontScareSpiders · 20/06/2016 18:50

Please can someone tell me whose missing?!!

raisedbyguineapigs · 20/06/2016 18:50

I also wonder if the Lannisters are going to send an army to Winterfell to reclaim it, like they did to the Tully's? maybe they have too much on their plate to bother!

SerJorahsSecondChoice · 20/06/2016 18:51

Or or or... Considering who IS in the last episode (Ned and Howland Reed)... Lyanna Stark?

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 20/06/2016 18:53

That's what I thought, Sir!

SerJorahsSecondChoice · 20/06/2016 18:57

Slightly off topic but in one of the previous threads someone said they knew a bloke who was in this series as a named character with lines but didn't want to say who in case it blew it for him. I think it was suggested he was a recast role and that he had a speaking role. Op, if you're still here, has he been on it yet (and if so, can you pm me who he was!)?

SerJorahsSecondChoice · 20/06/2016 18:59

Also, I cannot stand Sansa!

ILikeToClean · 20/06/2016 18:59

Phew that was a bit stressful! I was shouting noooo at the tv – the way Jon just fell into Ramsay’s trap. Why didn’t Rickon just lay down and play dead until Jon got to him?! The suffocation scenes were almost too awful to watch. It was very much made for the audience though, predictable when LF’s army swooped in and Ramsay died in the end. But I still loved it…

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 20/06/2016 19:24

Somebody pointed out on Twitter that the obvious thing to do if you're running away and somebody behind you is trying to shoot you, you should zigzag. It seems nobody taught Rickon this vital skill. Sad

Looking forward to watching it again shortly with my son, who had to go to work today! Will probably have to be gagged to avoid spoiling it for him. Grin

I think Sansa was going to tell Jon about LF when she said she thought they should wait for more troops, but he was so rude to her she decided not to. She already had the hump about not being asked about Ramsey in the council of war. It was well done I thought. I can totally see how she'd have been pissed off and respond that way. The fact she says no one can look after her was interesting.
I'm thinking more and more the poster on the last thread saying it would end up with women in power is correct. Maybe with several different queens of independent kingdoms. That would be awesome Grin

YesThisIsMe · 20/06/2016 19:43

That was me SerJorah. Will PM you, but haven't caught up with him yet, so no juicy gossip.

misspym · 20/06/2016 19:52

Longtime lurker here.

I watched this episode earlier today and like other posters I cheered, laughed and rather embarrassingly cried quite a bit too.

My first thought with Rickon was 'send out the giant'. He could have crossed that field in a few bounds and carried him to safety.

I definitely think that the iron has entered Sansa's soul. She is hardened and trust's no-one now.

Equiem89 · 20/06/2016 19:54

Just finished watching. Oh my fucking epic!

Fiderer · 20/06/2016 20:08

I was thinking the same about the giant - there's one photo in the papers today where you see him with Jon a few feet away. I was comparing giant strides to horsey strides and wondering if it would have been better.

Wouldn't have been as dramatic mind, though it would have pissed Ramsey off.

BeyondTellingEveryoneRealFacts · 20/06/2016 20:15

Big lolz that i cannot share yet cause of spoilers for tonight...

OlennasWimple · 20/06/2016 20:16

Sansa reminds me of Bad Willow from Buffy

Ramsey tied to the chair reminded me of Hannibal Lecter

LadyStarkOfWinterfell · 20/06/2016 20:18

Ramsay didn't miss by accident though. He killed him when he meant to kill him. He would have just shot him sooner if it looked like wun wun would reach him.

EverySongbirdSays · 20/06/2016 20:21

Prepping for the 9pm rewatch Grin

I'm watching already. Ramsay definitely enjoyed being beaten by Jon.

NeedACleverNN · 20/06/2016 20:23

Those who are managing to watch it at 2am...how?!

Are you in the UK?

pyrowall · 20/06/2016 20:26

Sky Atlantic show it at 2am and 9pm - 2am ties in with when the US see it

BelfastBloke · 20/06/2016 20:26

How do you currently watch it, Need? What channel?

Sky Atlantic broadcast it at 2am

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 20/06/2016 20:28

I watch it on NOW TV on my laptop when I get up. I don't know how quickly it's available there as even I have my limits, and staying up till 2am is beyond them!

Trills · 20/06/2016 20:28

What did your sister tell you Jon?

Sigh.
